Your New Year’s Resolution- Supercharge Your Fitness Program With a Purpose

As I read in doing my research for my articles for THE QATSPY® Inside-the-Leather Sports, Health, & Lifestyle Page, I do my research from a position of a coach of a team. Highly effective coaches are the ones who just don’t coach fundamentals and techniques, but that can also develop their athletes by allowing the athlete to see the relevance, imagery, and purpose of their training and conditioning in regard to their performance.

It is easy to get complacent with the importance of our training and conditioning, especially if it is a New Year’s Resolution. Within four weeks after making a New Year’s Resolution, the average person loses interest and focus on their New Year’s Resolution of fitness.

How to Get RIP in Achieving Your New Year’s Resolution

The key to reaching your New Year’s Resolution is to get RIP. What I mean is to make your fitness Relevant, Imagery, and with a Purpose. I know when thinking of the term RIP, one often thinks of a top-performing athlete. But this RIP is what the Apostle Paul alluded to- Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and make it do what I want it to do. (1st Corinthians 9:26-27)

I highlighted the words RUN and BOX in what Paul alluded to, because these terms represent sports. Run could be the sport of basketball, tennis, baseball, or golf. Boxing represents competition, because Paul stated not to beat the air, Paul is referring to competition. Below I’ve attached my CASPER Fitness Program that isn’t just for fitness, but for conditioning my mind and body for the challenges of life and golf.

Using golf as my sport allows me to maintain my fitness routine, between 20 to 45-minutes for each session, four to five times a week. You will discover that when you make your fitness routine based on RIP, you will have a better opportunity to achieve your New Year’s Resolution past the four-week trial period.

Below, I have attached my CASPER Fitness Program and my Kosher 925-MET Diet Program of how I lost 52 pounds and over eight (8) inches in my waistline. Also, the Kosher 925-MET Diet Program is high in Protein and Fiber that provide an additional anti-aging benefits.

I also play golf four times a week where I walk the golf course for 18-holes providing me an additional 8.75-miles of aerobic fitness over a 3.5 hour period.

Above in the feature image and in the YouTube Exercise Video below, I’m 62- years old. The CASPER Fitness and the Kosher 925-MET Diet Programs are based on RIP, keeping your fitness Relevant, Imagery, and with a Purpose. The best coaches always explains the purpose of their training. If you have a purpose you will perform better and reach your goals.

If your purpose of your New Year’s Resolution is just to lose 15 to 20 pounds, chances are you won’t maintain or achieve your Resolution. You got to couple your New Year’s Resolution with an image or activity or both. My Image was to lose weight in order to model my line of US WINGS Flight Jackets and to make YouTube training Videos, like the on below.
