Weight Loss Isn’t the Issue, Maintaining Is– Most People can Lose the Weight, but the Real Issue is Maintaining and Keeping the Weight OFF!

 

A local Doctor, here in Ridgeland, Mississippi, has a noon program covering medical issues to improve people’s health and their awareness. The Doctor was explaining how this one patient lost weight, then later on gained back what they had lost. This isn’t a uncommon issue that most people experience with weight loss, this person isn’t lone. Rebounds are something that you want to do in basketball, but not so much in the area of your weight loss.

The objective of a successful diet program is to identify the foods that you have already formed an appetite for that have a low Health Index Weight Factor Number and that you are accustomed to eating to also allow you to lose the weight that you want. The last thing that you want to do is to reinvent the wheel, especially related to your diet. If you’ve ever tried to change a habit, then you know how difficult it is to accomplish.

There is one other factor that you must consider as well in your diet program, and that is the circadian rhythms. This is when your body metabolizes food the most effectively that it can be used as energy, instead of stored as fat. So to avoid rebounds in your weight loss, it is important to know two things– WHEN and WHAT you eat.

Here’s the answer to WHEN!

Your body starts to metabolize food at 9:00 a.m. and then starts to slow down at 5:00 p.m. The maximum time the body metabolizes food is at 2:00 p.m. If you’ve ever wondered why you feel like you need a snack around 2:00 p.m., this is the reason. Your metabolism is in turbo-drive around 2 p.m. So to work with your body to help you lose weight, you need to have your meals between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. JUST REMEMBER, the NUMBER 9-2-5 during the course of your day when you’re about ready to have your meals.

Now for the Big Question: WHAT to Eat!

You can turn your body into a Calorie-Burning Juggernaut just by learning how to read Nutrition Labels on food items in grocery stores or from restaurant menu items posted on their websites. Just by taking seven (7) factors from the Nutrition Label, below, you can lose weight and inches in your waistline, not in months, but in weeks.

Below, I’ve kept a Waistline Chart from November 28, 2014 through September 05, 2015, charting my progress on my DELPHI DIET & FITNESS System on a daily basis. My objective was to lose down to a 32.0- inch waistline, by June of 2015. As noted, my waistline measured 37.75- inches on November 28, 2014 and by January 22, 2015, I reached my goal of 32.0 inches. But hold on to that thought, as that was just the START!

If you are wondering why I have good handwriting, I’m a Surveyor and Engineer where handwriting is essential!

This is my actual Waistline Chart that I kept when I started my DELPHI DIET & FITNESS System that charted the inches that I lost over a 9- month period; and have managed to keep off those inches for 7- years now!

But what was surprising about the DELPHI DIET & FITNESS System was that it allowed my body to reach its natural BMI level, by allowing me to lose down to a 28.5- inch waistline on September 05, 2015. I still measure my waist every week now to help me maintain my healthy weight and waistline, even after seven (7) years. This is the TRUE MARK of a successful diet & fitness program.

The way to find your natural BMI, or your healthy weight and waistline, is to take your height in inches and divide your height by a factor of two (2). You want your waistline to be at or below half your height in inches.

Example, my natural BMI is 65/2= 32.5- inches. My waistline is 29.50- inches, or 9.23% below my optimum waistline.

As you can tell, I wasn’t heavy recruited by college basketball teams around the nation, 5 ft 5-inch doesn’t work that well against 6 ft 5-inch and plus players.         

Success of Maintaining my Achievement

I have maintained my weight and waistline going on for seven (7) years now. My success with The DELPHI DIET & FITNESS System was losing 42- LBS in seven weeks, instead of seven months, and a total of 52- LBS over nine (9) months. But my true achievement is keeping my weight off and maintaining my waistline of 29.50- inches for seven years, shown in the photograph below. If you refer to my Waistline Chart, most of my weight/inches came off during the Holidays. This was a true test of my DELPHI DIET & FITNESS System. I was 7/8- inches away from my goal on January 4th of 2015.

Because the Health Index that I used to evaluate what I eat focuses on foods that are high in Fiber, Protein, Omega-3 Fats, and Probiotics, I lost weight off my waistline and years off the appearance of my skin. The Health Index allowed me to achieve something that was totally unexpected, as I not only lost LBS and inches, I lost decades off the appearance of my skin. In the photograph above where I’m in our hangar on my INDIAN Scout Bobber, I’m 64 years old.

In the featured photograph above, I’m checking my climbing equipment to get ready to work storm restoration in the states hit by the tornadoes. Even though I’m 64 years old and have been retired for seven years, I’m called back in to work storms, from time to time. The fitness part of The DELPHI DIET & FITNESS allows me to keep in optimum shape. I will be taking Ibuprofen with me, as well.
