Setting up and Working Out in Your Home GYM during COVID-19. Don’t neglect your fitness when fitness is essential to your health and survival

For a period of time, we’ll need to find ways to maintain our health and fitness by supplementing the gym workouts while we are social distancing. I realize for some that this will be a difficult and a dramatic departure from how you are accustomed to working out in your gyms. But if you follow my YouTube Videos below on fitness, you can make this transition. There is one other caveat to your health and fitness, and that is we don’t know how long the Pandemic will last while we are trying to maintain our health.

I wouldn’t recommend waiting it out to return to your gym for your fitness workout. You will give up too much ground that you have worked too hard toward. One of our biggest defenses against COVID-19 is our health and fitness. You only have to look at factors that make us vulnerable to COVID-19 to realize why you must maintain your fitness workout. Just a few factors are high blood pressure, obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and being over 65. There is one factor that you have no control over, and that is your age; but you do have control over the effects of aging.

The Effects of The CASPER Fitness Program on my Blood Pressure.

This is my typical Blood Pressure Reading that I take every night at the same time at age 63 without any medication at all:

In the feature photograph, I’m 63- years old. I have maintained the same workout schedule and program that I call The CASPER Fitness Program since I was 12- years old. My CASPER Fitness Program has been effective for one reason. It is specific in that it provides me with the ability to work on my farm and still be engaged in the sport of golf at age 63.

In my teens, my fitness was for football, baseball, and weight lifting; but now it is for golf, working on my farm, and the ability to have an active lifestyle at 63; and with God’s grace, for many more years to come.

There one reason I put so much emphasis on my health and fitness on one obscured conversation Caleb had with Joshua in Chapter 14 of Joshua, in verses 14:10-11. Verse (10) Now, as you can see, the LORD has kept me alive and well as he promised for all these forty-five years since Moses made this promise—even while Israel wandered in the wilderness. Today I am eighty-five (85) years old. Verse (11), I am as strong now as I was when Moses sent me on that journey (spy out the Promised Land), and I can still travel and fight as well as I could then.

Caleb didn’t have any control over his aging, but he did over the effects of aging.

Even though you can’t enjoy working out in your gym with friends, you can set up a gym in your home. This is especially great if you are working or going to school from your home. You can set up a Home Gym like I have, with minimum exercise equipment. What you see in the featured photograph is all the exercise equipment that I use in my CASPER Fitness Program. I have listed the equipment at the end of this article for your reference.

What’s even better than just the basic equipment, shown above, that I have is that you can even start with just a few free weights, Medicine Ball, and Exercise Tubing. You can substitute walking or jogging for the stationary bike and aerobic exercise for the punching bag in my gym.

But if I were going to concentrate on just few pieces of equipment to start off with, I would choose the Tubing, because of all that you can do with tubing, if your just have a door in your exercise area. If your are over 65, the tubing exercise is excellent for toning and cardio. Below I have attached my FREE 3 Part YouTube Video Series of my CASPER Fitness Program. If you want a lighter or heavier workout session, you can either decrease or increase weight or reps. My usual workout sessions last for 60-minutes.
