The Breakfast of Champions
A possible cause of sciatic nerve problems with lower back pain and stiffness that severely limits one’s daily activity and lifestyle. A contributing factor to your lower back pain and stiffness could be Iron overload.
For years while flying line patrol, my breakfast would consist of what some call Nabs, or Lance’s ‘Nekot’ Peanut Butter whole wheat sandwich cookies. Based on what airport we flew into, Nabs also became my lunch that I carried in my flight bag. Don’t leave home without them, especially if you experience sugar drops.
Recently in mid-December of 2019, I decided to start having cereal in the morning, since I’m retired and can have a more normal daily schedule. In the latter part of December, I started experiencing pain and stiffness in my lower back and legs. It got to a point that I could barely walk, much less straighten up, due the pain and stiffness.
Iron Overload: Sciatic Nerve Pain and Stiffness in the Lower Back and Legs
The pain and stiffness got so bad that I had to delay a YouTube Video to promote my Golf and Sports Performance & Apparel business. I started examining what I had done leading up to my pain and stiffness, but found nothing unusual. I played golf and exercised, according to my regular activity. The only thing that I changed was my diet of cereal that I was having.
I looked at the Nutrition label on the cereal box and found that the amount of Iron was 60% of the daily recommended consumption, or 10.8 mg. Most cereals are fortified with minerals and vitamins, and this was the reason I included cereal. I found out that I was sensitive to Iron. They refer to this as Iron Overload.
Four days after I stopped having cereal in the mornings and going back to Lance ‘Nekot’ Peanut Butter whole wheat sandwich cookies, my inflammation subsided. I was able to produce my YouTube golf training videos this past Saturday pain- free.
Golfer’s Q-GRIP APP YouTube Training Video
The YouTube training video that I produced was providing golfer’s the ability to use their garage and special training golf balls that I carry in my Online Store to maintain their golf game in the off-season. I also was able to do a photo shoot with Miss US WINGS modeling the A-2 Leather Flight Jacket in the photograph below.
I just wanted this article to inform people who experience lower back and leg pain with stiffness to consider their Iron intake and if they are sensitive to Iron Overload.
In my Online Store, I carry the collection of US WINGS Line of Leather and Nylon Flight Jackets that Miss US WINGS and I’m wearing below. Select on the image below to view my US WINGS Jackets. I also included an article on how I reached my health/fitness goals within 9- month period below.
