By: Charles W. Boatright
How to Avoid the March Madness to Achieve Your New Year’s Resolution- The End of January Marks the Halfway Point New Year’s Madness Starts
The top two New Year’s Resolutions that people made at the end of last year are:
- To lose weight
- To get into better shape
But by the end of January is when people start to wane on their New Year’s Resolution(s). It is easy to do with the grip of winter preventing us from getting outside and staying active and especially with the pandemic still entrenched in our daily lives.
I’m here to help YOU, and this is the reason that I’m writing this article to let you know that you don’t have to give up on your New Year’s Resolution(s) that you can DO THIS! IT IS TOO IMPORTANT FOR YOU NOT TO GIVE UP! What you need is a process and plan to help you get back in the game. If I can do it in 2014 at age 57, I know you can also do this. In the feature image, I am 64 years old, soon to be 65.
What I Achieved with my DIET, EXERCISE, and LIFESTYLE Program
Here is what I achieved this with a simple Diet, Exercise, and having an active Lifestyle. Lifestyle is simply being involved in activities that you enjoy doing, like sports. That IS IT guys, and what was even more encouraging to me was that I enjoyed my progress and accomplishments that I actually exceeded my goal; refer to my Waistline Chart below.
My goal was to lose down to a 32- inch waistline that I had in high school. What I did was drop down to a 29.25- inch waistline. I lost 8.50- inches off my waist at age 58. So age isn’t an obstacle to losing weight and better yet, get into the best shape of my life. Here’s an observation that I would like for you to make next time you’re watching ads for diet programs. See how many show the conditioning and shape that these people achieved on these diets. I call this the AB Challenge.
The AB Challenge
Referring to the featured photograph above, I call the AB Challenge, the condition and shape that I achieved allowed me to model my line of sportswear that I carry in my Online Store, as I model with young ladies in their early 20’s that work with me. If you want to test the results of your diet, fitness, and conditioning, get in front of a camera and do an AB Challenge, especially when you’re over the age of 60.
I developed a Diet, Exercise, and Lifestyle program that I call the DELPHI AD System. The DELPHI represents Diet, Exercise, Lifestyle Performance Health Index Program. The AD that I added later stands for Age-Defying, because I dropped more than inches off my waistline, as I dropped decades off the condition and age of my skin. This was totally unexpected! In the photograph above, of my model, Heather, and I was taken on January 18, 2022 when we had a warm day in the 60’s before the deep freeze returned. How many of you would like to be in the best shape of your life and actually look younger? Heather is in her early 20’s and I’m 64 years old.
I have posted, above, my Waistline Chart to show my actual progress. If your diet and fitness program delivers this type of results to you that I have achieved at age 64, you need to stick with IT! I also posted my blood pressure reading that I took Monday night (24Jan2022). Blood Pressure is the KEY indicator of your health and fitness.

The Importance of Getting to and Maintaining Your Own Strength & Conditioning
The Strength and Conditioning that most successful teams are following is just as important to all of us, especially those, like me, that are over the age of 60. I work out 5-days per week in my Home GYM following what I call the CASEY Fitness Program- Cardio- Aerobic – Strength- Exercise Yoga Program. Cardio training focuses on improving the heart’s ability to pump blood; whereas Aerobic training focuses on improving oxygen levels throughout the body. Both are essential to your health and fitness. Yoga is for posture, balance, flexibility, and mindfulness.
Below, I’m shown in my Home GYM with the ONLY Exercise Equipment that I use to perform my CASEY Fitness Program:
THE QATSPY® AMERICAN CLASSIC LEATHER JACKET COLLECTION
The U.S. A-2 Leather Jacket has been a major part of our history (both military and civilian) since 1931 when the U.S. Army Air Corps developed and issued the leather flight jacket to pilots during World War II. A version of this iconic and classic A-2 Leather Flight Jacket became the persona of two legendary entertainers/actors- Fonzie in Happy Days and Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
