GOLFERS How to Train Your Subconscious Mind- We DON’T Play Golf with Our Conscious Mind, Instead We Use Our Instinctive, Subconscious Mind

I developed the Orange Bucket Challenge Video to create course-like conditions by training with adrenaline. Golfers, we might very well train and practice our golf games using our conscious mind developing swing thoughts. But I can guarantee the golfer this, that once they step foot onto the golf course, they will be relying totally on their instincts in their subconscious mind.

If you ever wonder why your practice hours don’t make it to the golf course, this is the reason. We are training a part of our mind that doesn’t perform our golf swing.

If your golf swing isn’t instinctive, the long hours of practice that you put into your golf game on the range or backyard won’t make it to the golf course with your golf swing intact. There’s one element that is missing in your golf game, or any other sport, or any other task that you perform; and that is adrenaline.

There’s one little caveat that I must add, and that is the muscle memory skills, or instincts, that you developed before the age of 12, are all the skills you will have during your performance. These instinctive skills developed before the age of 12 are the reason we had, or have, elite golfers like Bobby Jones, Sr., Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods, just to name a few.

If You Didn’t Grew Up a Child Golf Prodigy, You Aren’t Out of Options

You actually have other options, because if you have ever swung a baseball bat, tennis racket, or played Cricket, then you have developed these instinctive skills needed for your golf game. The Sync & Preset Technique only has two simple maneuvers needed to hit more Fairways & Greens in Regulations as I demonstrated in The Orange Bucket Challenge call S&P D-Pro Golf Technique. You just have to convince your subconscious mind to associate these instinctive skills to your golf swing. If you do this, you will replace unreliable swing thoughts with instincts, and that doesn’t require any thinking process.

I like what Yogi Berra said about baseball batters– How can you think and hit at the same time? The answer is that YOU CAN’T. Your golf swing has to be instinctive, and the Orange Bucket Challenge is a major part of developing your golf swing instincts on the golf course.

Here are three conditions that the golfer must have to develop an instinctive golf swing, and I call it performing IN-THE-ZONE:

  1. Normal and routine tasks and conditions must exist.
  2. Rely on a high degree of relaxation, confidence, and muscle memory.
  3. The conscious and subconscious minds are focused on two different situations.             

The golfer has to get their conscious mind focused on the target or the ball and out of their golf swing. Remember what (Ty Webb- played by Chevy Chase mentioned to Danny Noonan- played by Michael O’Keefe):

I’m going to give you a little advice. There’s a force in the universe that makes things happen (the player’s subconscious mind). And all you have to do is get in touch with it (develop instincts), stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball. The ball or, in my case, my Orange Bucket is where the golfer directs their conscious focus.

The video that was filmed in early June by WJTV-12 out of Jackson, Mississippi, and was done with one take. If you want to turbocharge your adrenaline, just have a crew or person videotape your golf swing from tee to green.

This was taken of me on June 21, 2021 at age 64 to show the results of my ASCOT- DIET & FITNESS Program that I started in November 28, 2014. I lost 45- pounds within 6- weeks and a total of 52- pounds within 9- months. The biggest objective that I have achieved is keeping in great shape at age 64. A fellow photographer contacted me on July 01st, 2022 about doing a photoshoot for a boxing bag workout image that she needed for a client. She was the one that did the two photoshoots above with her crew. The only request that I made was that she take it early during the day and at the first of my CAST FITNESS Workout. My GYM isn’t air conditioned so temperatures during the summer months can reach 118 degrees Fahrenheit. I inform her that I workout shirtless because I can’t laundry my T-shirts due to the amount of sweating that I do during a typical workout. Below was the photograph that my friend took for her client. In this photograph I’m one week away from my 65th birthday:
