Our Military-Style Flight Suits are an authentic, Light-weight flight suit. It has the same standard features of the CWU-27/P flight suit that pilots wear in the cockpit. It is sewn to military specification FNS/PD 96-17 (MIL-C-23141A). The flight suit can be worn alone in warmer weather or worn over clothing in colder weather. Constructed from a poly-cotton blend. This combination allows the material to be breathable and durable. A completely washable garment, no dry cleaning required.
These are for pilots in the cockpit, air crew, or ground crew who services aircraft, perform ground maintenance or for carrying out search and rescue missions, or in my case flying aerial patrol of transmission lines for 33-years. The convenient pockets make the air and ground crew’s flight gear and equipment accessible, especially for pilots in the cockpit where room to maneuver is limited. When I flew, I kept my gear ready to go in my flight suit where I wouldn’t be without needed flight gear.
