HERE’S THE QUESTION: How many diet programs that you seen advertised on television in addition to allowing you to drop pounds, also allows you to drop decades off your appearance of your age and also drop your blood pressure, blood glucose, and cholesterol levels? NOTE: I posted my blood pressure reading, below where I’m in our hangar at age 64 on my INDIAN Motorcycle. This is my average blood pressure without taking any prescribed Medication of any type or kind.
Two Tone Fitness Challenge to Defy Your Age– A Seven (7) Part Health and Fitness Investment Series on Toning Up Your Skin, Muscles, and Mind
Keep this in mind when considering improving your health and fitness- You can’t buy your health nor your fitness; you can only invest to maintain your health and fitness. Look at your health and fitness like your 401(k) plan, but this is for your health to be able to enjoy your retirement in your 50’s or 60’s and beyond. The earlier you start investing in your health and fitness the better results you will have when you start to draw on both up and after you retire.
I have just started a seven (7) part series on a two tone fitness challenge that anyone, of any age, can take up to improve their skin, muscles, and mental ability. Even though this is geared toward people in their mid 30’s and older, parts of the two tone fitness challenge is great for kids that don’t get enough outdoor activities.
Even kids can take part in getting outdoors and participating in sports to improve their health and fitness. I don’t recommend kids under the age of 12 start a strength program outside engaging in sports. Any strength training that kids do should be kept to calisthenics where they are using their own body weight to get exercises within premise cardio (improving blood circulation) and aerobics (improving oxygen levels to the body) type elements. Leave strength training for when they (your kids) are in their mid teens.
Primary TONING
The primary toning is for your skin, that is your biggest organ. This is our first impression we project to others and the impact we can have on our own confidence level. I have started a seven (7) part series on toning in regard to the Light Body Toning (LBT). Toning is getting your recommended amount of sunlight for our overall health and fitness and for an important hormone that sunlight provides. We need to get at least three (3) days per week of adequate sunlight for this important hormone. Any more exposure, we need to apply sunscreen and wear protective clothing.
The benefits of getting your recommended amount of sunlight is remarkable, not to mention the best cosmetic procedure you can have naturally, guys and gals, that doesn’t cost you anything. Toning your skin cuts down on the cosmetic products that you will need to use.
IMPORTANT: I Keep Stressing This in All my Series– ALWAYS consult your physician and/or your dermatologist to determine your recommended level of sun exposure. Even the light tone types can still get a limited amount of Light Body Toning (LBT). Again, 80 percent of people have this hormone deficiency and the sunlight can help fill this gap. This is a huge health concern especially as we age and maintain a strong skeletal system.
Secondary Toning
This type of toning is your strength training that doesn’t take a lot of heavy weight or gulling powerlifting. While cardio and aerobic type training is important, people over the age of 12 need to include a weight or strength program in their workouts. Unfortunately cardio and aerobics gets the lion’s share of attention in most workout programs.
NOTE: My Home GYM isn’t Air conditioned nor heated that is located in the attic space above my golf training facilities. In the summertime, temperatures can reach 115 degrees Fahrenheit that provides me conditioning and stamina while working out for 45-to-60 minutes 6-times a week. Most gyms are air conditioned that doesn’t provide the person a conditioning component. Sweating is another toning process for your skin.
But to really improve your skin, muscles, and mental health, we need to include weight/strength training in our weekly workouts. Weight/strength training is the best age-defying technique we can have for both men and women. Ladies please don’t shy away from weight training, even if it is only using tubing (elastic resistance tubes or bands). Fifty percent (50%) of my own weight/strength training includes tubing in my Home GYM. I let you be the judge if you think my secondary toning using weight/strength training works. Just judge the effectiveness of me below on my INDIAN Scout Motorcycle.
