The offseason doesn’t mean you can’t maintain your health, fitness, and sports training during the winter months. Just because the thermometer is dropping doesn’t mean you have to drop your sports training and fitness workout. Even during a Pandemic you can set up your own personal gym that offers real results you would expect from a gym quality workout.
I get at least 15 requests per week from people interested in attending my workout, or boot camp, sessions to improve their health, fitness, and sports performance. As happy as I would be to accommodate them, I would prefer to give them the ability to work out on their own at their convenience following safe techniques and regimen, ESPECIALLY NOW!
Personal Trainer Request
One of the reasons people like to work with a trainer is the coaching and the motivation element that they receive. But in reality there is not a better motivator than seeing your own results by how you feel and look even if you are like me in your 60’s. A major part of health and fitness is based more on nutrition than fitness just alone. Don’t expect to make a New Year’s Resolution to lose weight based entirely on your fitness, you will be like many people that will abandon their New Year’s Resolution within 6- weeks.
The main reason people op for a trainer is the lack of results that they achieve on their own fitness regimen. But in actuality it isn’t your fitness component that has the biggest impact on your health, but your nutrition. They are under the impression that they are not working out enough, or performing the wrong exercises with the wrong equipment. But actually it has to do more with their Nutrition than their workout sessions. Fitness is essential for strengthening, toning, and performance, but what people really gauge their health and fitness by is their waistline, it is their bottom line. It is nice to pull off your shirt and reveal your physique, especially if you are over 50 or 60.
The biggest factor in feeling and looking better and revealing your physique is based on your nutrition. Nutrition is 80% of your health while 20% is your fitness and lifestyle. It is true that you are what you eat. But the diet you select must work for you by turning your body into a calorie-burning juggernaut that I developed to deal with my inability to lose weight.
The 925-MET Diet Nutrition Plan
The 925-MET Diet Plan that I developed uses simple data off the Nutrition Label on food items in grocery stores or restaurants that will allow you to lose weight and see benefits from your diet and workouts. Nothing worse than working out and not seeing results. I lost 38 pounds and 4.75- inches in my waistline in just ONE month, and that was during the month of December. Over the next 9- months, I lost a total of 52- pounds and over 9- inches in my waist. Over 80% of the pounds and inches that I lost was within five months of starting The 925-MET Diet Plan on December 01, 2014.
The reason The 925-MET Plan is effective for dropping pounds, inches, and not to mention years off your appearance is because it is a diet based on a high fiber and high protein diet while reducing your exposure to sugars and starches. Sugars and starches are the real culprit in weight gain and the lack of ability to lose weight. The 925-MET Diet allows your body’s natural ability to metabolize food into direct energy instead of storing the food.
The after photograph, above, was taken on a dare from linemen that I used to work with before I retired in September of 2014. I was call back in to help out with restoration efforts after Hurricane Laura and Delta that devastated western parts of Louisiana in August and September of 2020. The linemen could not believe I got myself into this shape over the age of 60.
