I would like to first prefecit this article my stating that before I started my therapy using Glucosamine Chondroitin & MSM, I couldn’t even play golf and was getting where I couldn’t do instruction. After just three (3) days on Glucosamine Chondroitin & MSM, I not only don’t have discomfort or pain, I don’t have any severe stiffness that was making just walking a issue. Please read!

UPDATE: My Wife’s Experience with Glucosamine Chondroitin & MSM Therapy

My wife had her wisdom tooth abstracted 2 years ago from her right jaw that disturbed a nerve near her right ear. This caused her to have balancing issues in getting up and walking. She was tested negative for Vertigo. Last week when I started my Glucosamine therapy, my wife started Wednesday taking Glucosamine Chondroitin & MSM, which was two days later after I started. Just yesterday she stated that her issues of balancing wasn’t a issue any longer. I just wanted to update my article from Saturday with my wife’s results that might help others out with symptoms that they might be experience. HOPE THIS HELPS OTHERS!

My 5-Day Use of Glucosamine to Address Lower Back, Leg Discomfort, and Stiffness

My results of taking Glucosamine Chondroitin & MSM to address a disc and nerve issues that cause stiffness and discomfort in lower back, quad, and calf muscles. This condition also caused a slight numbness in the feet when I stood up for a period of time. I would like to report what results that I had after taking Glucosamine Chondroitin & MSM after 5-days to relieve these issues.

I typically wear a waist belt when I bush hog on my farm on my tractor. Last August, I got onto my tractor to clear a small area where I was going to give golf lessons that week. I was just going to be on for a few minutes and didn’t wear my waist belt. A few minutes turned out to be and hour-and-half on my tractor. The vibration, which is one of the ergonomic precautions we must prevent, the vibration irritated an old disc injury that I had in my lower back in the military.

For the next six months, this caused lower back, quad, and calf stiffness with numbing in my feet when I would walk or stand for period of time. I described my symptoms to my neighbor who is a Chiropractic physician. From my symptoms that I described to him, he said that I was on the low end of a disc issue and therapy that I was presently doing should take care of my symptoms. But, I decided to try a supplement during my therapy.

So I went back to a supplement that I used to take for my knees, the Glucosamine Chondroitin & MSM up to 2007. This was after 5-days of taking two (2) doses per day that contains 1,500 mg of Glucosamine Sulfate and 1,200 mg of Chondroitin Sulfate.

I also like to mention one other contributing factor, I started eating cereal in November that contain 60% of my daily allowance of Iron. I’m very sensitive to iron, because it inflames my muscles and joints there by inflame my nerves.

So by eliminating my cereal in December and started taking Glucosamine Chondroitin & MSM on Monday, 16March2020, I had a very positive response with no more stiffness or discomfort. I would never call it pain but it did limit my golfing activity.

MY RESULTS

I no longer have the lower back, quad, or calf stiffness, and the numbness that I had in my feet that now has been eliminated. I still do my CASPER Fitness Program that contains lower back exercises to improve the lower back. These exercises consist of Leg Lifts, Ab Roller, and a great Pilates exercise called the Swan. I have attached a YouTube video that demonstrates Swan below. I did not include my Pilates exercise in my CASPER Fitness Program. The CASPER (Cardiovascular, Aerobic, Strength, Pilates, Exercise Routine).

The swan Pilate is similar to the McKenzie Back Therapy. I would suggest that you use the cross forearm alternative of the Swan, where you cross your forearms and place your head on your forearms, than raise at your hips.

I also attached my Golfer’s Q-GRIP APP Making Practice Permanent, where the family can do something physical and social during this period. This can be done in a bay of your garage. I use special golf balls that I hit into a tarp where I can hit draws and fades. This builds Quality Garage Repetition and Instinctive Practice.
