Let Me Present a Case for Your Fitness– If you Want Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness, Let me Make My Case for Your Health & Fitness
The ravages of this pandemic (COVID-19) are far-reaching, beyond just the illness, sickness, and hospitalization that it can cause, even leading to death. But COVID-19, from health reports, can take a toll on our long-term health, as well, even in kids, unfortunately, where it can cause Diabetes. This is where an ounce of prevention that you take now can really be worth a pound of cure later.
In addition to all the precautions that we can take, there is one more small, but important step that you can take that is SIMPLE! If you just adhere to a healthy diet with a regular fitness regimen, you can dramatically impact your health and immune system’s ability to protect you during this pandemic. If you just look at the evidence that has been gathered since the second quarter of 2020, there is one health risk that predisposes people to the real ravages of this pandemic, and they call it The Silent Killer, which is Hypertension.
I would also like to add that protective clothing is another way to protect yourself. I have long since mothballed my wood-blend sports jacket for our US WINGS® A-2 Leather Flight Jacket, shown in the feature image above. This was the main reason that the A-2 Leather Flight Jacket was developed in 1931 by the U.S. Army Air Corps to protect its pilots from future pandemics, like the 1918 Spanish Flu, that claimed more lives than those who were killed during World War I. Ten months out of the year, I don’t leave home without my Cap Buffalo A-2 Leather Flight Jacket.
Look at the top five causes of hospitalizations/death caused by COVID-19, below:
- 27% Hypertension
- 18% Diabetes
- 12% Cardiac disease
- 11% Neurological
- 09% Obesity
Here some statistics that will emphasis how import it is for you to maintain a healthy DIET, FITNESS & LIFESTYLE:
Hypertension isn’t an old person’s concern either as shown by these stats:
- 47% of adults over the age of 24 have hypertension and most aren’t aware of it.
- 67% of people over the age of 60 have hypertension. That’s a 20% jump from young adults to older adults.
All five of the top causes for hospitalizations/deaths can be addressed with a high-fiber and high-protein diet, with a regular fitness program. A fitness program that includes Cardio, Aerobics, Strength, Exercises or what I like to refer to as D–CASE for your fitness. The D represents Diet, or in my case of The DELPHI DIET & FITNESS System.
Just to show how effective The DELPHI DIET & FITNESS System is, look at my blood pressure that I took just last night:
This is my blood pressure of 118/67, with a pulse of 65, that was taken last night (09Jan2022), without taking any prescribed medication of any type or kind at age 65. And this was taken after my Green Bay Packers lost to the Detroit Lions. Of course, I realized that Green Bay wasn’t playing their first string to get ready for the playoffs. If I could, I would post my Blood Pressure reading in Times Square.
Reversing the Effects of Aging
Now there’s one cause that isn’t listed above that is one of the top three reasons of hospitalizations/deaths which are a direct link to, Our AGING Process. Usually, Hypertension, Diabetes, and especially Cardiac diseases are the result of the aging process. But what if we could reverse the effects of aging, or at least slow down the rate of our aging process. With a diet that is high-fiber and high-protein with regular exercises, we can reverse this trend of aging. One reason your muscles use fiber and protein is to remain healthy and functionable. One part of our muscular system function is providing us with a healthy immune system.
One part of your muscles’ function is supporting your immune system, that doesn’t get the recognition that it should. This is why strength training and conditioning are so important to your overall health and fitness. If you want to develop a healthy immune system against one of the biggest issues that jeopardizes our health and fitness, that is your aging process. This is why developing an exercise program that includes strength training is vital to you, especially during this pandemic.
The reason the I have kickboxing gloves on doing diagonal Triceps, abdominals muscles pull-down is because I workout with my boxing bag, that is right behind me, in between my strength training elements. Boxing bag workout in between my strength training elements is a great aerobic workout. I do 1-minute bouts 15 times before finishing with my exercise bike.
A lot of people focus on cardio and aerobics in their exercises regimen, which are certainly important, but strength training should be the third factor of everyone’s fitness program, regardless of your age. I would like to stress that it isn’t the amount of weight that you lift that is important for a strong muscular system, but the reps you can do. This is also great for your stamina as well.
In the photograph above, I’m in my Home GYM that is above my golf training and photography studio. Believe it or not, this is all the equipment that I work out with for 60-minutes, 5 times a week. I just use dumbbells, Medicine Balls, elastic tubing, and above all, an AB ROLLER. If you have a sciatic nerve issue, this will improve your condition if not eliminate your sciatic nerve issue. The only piece of equipment that isn’t in this photograph are my three (3) exercise bikes (stationary, mountain, and my INDIAN Motorbike). Pretty basic, with nothing fancy or elaborate.
Even if you have a spare room, like a garage, you can start your own gym and exercise room. Believe me, this will be your biggest room for improvement that is an easy step for you to take.
The Remedy to Aging and to Improve Your Health and Fitness
In court cases, the judge, with help from experts, will issue a remedy to improve the condition of an individual’s situation. Here I have laid out my case for you to follow to improve your health, fitness, and your aging process to improve your overall health and immune system. I have developed a diet and fitness program that has proven to work very well for me at age 64, and I call it The DELPHI DIET & FITNESS System, a CASE against aging.
