An Obesity Statistic that is all too Common in 40% of Our Population that predisposes people to the ravages of COVID-19

When we think of risk factors, we often think of external risk factors, but the biggest risk to COVID-19 is actually internal, and it is the obesity rate.

Like in most football games, the offense gets the lion’s share of the attention in winning games, or what we do. But the defense is what protects us. I, like most football fans, saw how Alabama and Notre Dame played in the Semi-Finals, in the Rose Bowl Game, on New Year’s night. I saw one of the biggest running plays in college history, where Najee Harris hurdled over No. 4, 6- foot, Nick McCloud, for a 53- yard run.

Nick McCloud had every intention to escort Najee Harris out of bounds to stop his run, but no one expected Harris to simply jump over McCloud and continue his 53-yard run.

The COVID-19 has a similar attack mechanism, it simply jumps over your immune system

When we think of precautions in fighting COVID-19, we often think about the three precautions- washing hands, wearing a mask, and social distancing that have been around as precautions since the 1918 Spanish Flu. But the biggest factor in fighting and preventing COVID-19 is our fitness. Forty percent of our population are obese, and that means they have a BMI equal to or greater than 30.

At the start of this pandemic, even the medical professionals didn’t realize the impact that obesity was going to have on the deadly effects of COVID-19 and how the obesity was going to restrict the body’s ability to defend against this virus.

Fat cells impede or obstruct the body’s ability to produce immune cells and store them in the spleen, bone marrow, and thymus. With fat cells hindering the body’s ability to protect and defend itself, obesity is actually one of the biggest impacts on the survival rate.

What is really devastating about the fat cells and the part they play in the demise of the body’s immune system is that fat cells have numerous ACE-2 receptors. ACE-2 receptors provide the virus with the vehicle to disrupt the entire immune system. This is just one way that obesity plays a large part in deteriorating one’s health, not to mention contributing to one’s high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, and Cardiovascular disease.

Even in the era of social distancing, I have two programs that will help you improve your health and fitness and improve your quality of life with a simple fitness workout and nutrition that is easy to follow.

A rule of thumb for a good BMI is take your height and divide it by your waistline. A number 2 and above is a good BMI, but the more above 2.0 you can get, the better your BMI number will be. My BMI is 2.29 that I achieved just by using my ASCOT-DIET and CASPER Fitness Program.

SAC Up Your Health and Fitness at Home

My Home Gym setup and the results of a simple 40- minute workout can do with simple exercise equipment. What you see here is all the equipment that I use at age 63. The only equipment partially showing is my stationary bike.

The reason I pose majority of my photographs with sunglasses is due to flash burns welding. I’m very sensitive to flash light sources.

I’m big on making things Simple, Accessible, and Convenient, but little did I realize in 2014 when I published my diet and fitness workout program how important both would be in the era of COVID-19. Reason is that they can be done at home with training videos in this DOWNLOAD. I published both my ASCOT-Diet Plan and my CASPER Fitness Program in one simple download that allows you to set up a simple home gym and follow a simple diet that is satisfying, not just for taste, but more important, to reduce your waistline.

I lost 35- pounds and over 4.50- inches in my waist in just one month in 2014 during December. In three months, I lost over 5- inches and over 40- pounds. In nine months, I lost over 8- inches in my waist and 52- pounds in 9- months by September of 2015. But the real proof of a great diet and exercise routine is keeping the weight off now for 7- years as shown in the photograph above at age 63.

The GYM photograph shows all the equipment that I use in my CASPER Fitness Program and the ASCOT-DIET uses data from the Nutrition Labels to turn your body into a calorie-burning juggernaut. Equip with the ASCOT-DIET Program and you’ll turn your body into boot camp. I’m proof that these two programs work. Purchase your below:

As a bonus I have included all (5) of my golf training videos in this one download. I have attached one below for demonstration purposes my Bunt-Type Pitch Videos make one of the hardest shots to make in golf:
