Age-Defying Diet & Workout to Lower Numbers, A Diet + Workout for better health to enjoy Sports and an active lifestyle with Friends and Family

With the people having to deal with COVID-19 and now the President of the United States, President Donal J. Trump, fitness is going to be one of your best defense against and succumbing to the effects COVID-19. The top underlining conditions are (1) Cardiovascular disease, (2) Obesity, (3) Diabetes, and (4) Hypertension. What is encouraging is that these underlining factors are these are factors you have control over. This is the reason your nutrition, fitness, and lifestyle are important to your health.

What you eat is 80 percent of your health. We often think our diet and workout have an impact on our internal health to prevent- heart disease, strokes, diabetes, and certain cancers. We don’t often think of our health from an external perspective. But what we eat has an impact on our biggest organ that we have, which is our skin.

It so very true that when we lose weight, we both look and feel better and have more energy to enjoy a full day of activity. But our diet can also lower one of the effects of the biggest numbers, our age. There is a cream commercial that helps the appearance of your skin. One of the subjects in this commercial is over sixty. In the feature photograph above, I’m 63 years old. I’ve spent most of my life outdoors as a farmer, linemen, and later as a grid engineer. This also includes playing golf four times a week, walking the golf course.

There are four (4) things that I have done to have the health that I enjoy, and the first is contributed to God’s grace and blessings. The other three (3) are skin protection, exercise, and diet. Eighty percent of your health and fitness will be contributed to your diet that you can have a direct bearing on. The other 20 percent is your fitness, your exercise, and sport activities.

The skin care and protection that I use is washing my skin with warm water and baking soda and applying witch-hazel to my skin, morning and night, and before I do photoshoots. My skin protection consists of sunscreen that I apply religiously before working on by farm or playing golf. I had a grandmother who harped on two hygiene practices- taking care of my teeth and my skin.

The Importance of One’s Diet

You don’t think about skin care, based on your diet. But your diet has an 80 percent impact on your health, inside-out. I developed a diet based on increasing my consumption of fiber and protein, while reducing my consumption of sugar and the hidden sugar, starches. I developed my diet plan that I call the 925-Diet Plan that allowed me to lose 52-pounds and over 8- inches in my waistline within 9-months.

As the Diet implies, I eat my meals between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. that allowed me to lose some of my weight. But I turbocharged my own body’s natural ability to metabolize food when I developed what I call a Weight Factor. I actually turned my body into a food-burning juggernaut. I lost over 30 pounds within six weeks. Then within 9- months, I lost 52- pounds. My goal was just to lose 45-pounds.

As a contributing factor I decided to prepare (cook and bake) 90 percent of my meals. I used to work in my grandfather’s bakery and farm. We used to bake whole wheat rolls and bread. We even special order the whole wheat flour that we used from a mill in Pennsylvania. You would think bread would be a NO-NO. But the Weight Factor for my rolls is a 3.11, which is way below the 3.25 that allowed me to lose the weight.

There are two other items that I include with my meals, and these are pinto beans and sweet potatoes. Both of these are considered perfect foods. I found that if I keep 90 percent of my meal items below 3.25, my skin looks and feel better. The featured image is me at age 63 with a C-47 Cargo plane used during World War II. What is interesting about the Weight Factor of Sweet Potato to an Idaho Potato is even though the sweet potato has a higher grams of sugar at 7 g compared to that of an Idaho Potato with 1 g, my Weight Factor found the hidden sugars, STARCH!

So Consider that you are what you eat, or should I say, what you don’t eat.
