The term MELIORA is a Latin term that describes pursuing a better course of action in obtaining better results.
Most diets have a pretty simple premise- Take in less or equal to the calories that you are burning each day. That is simpler said than done if you have ever made what are the top two New Year’s Resolutions in the past. The two top New Year’s Resolutions are to drop weight and to get into better shape.
If you make these top two New Year’s Resolutions to drop weight and get into better shape, you will soon realize that there are significant roadblocks in your pathway to weight lose. The major roadblock is that NOT all calories are processed by the body in the same manner. All calories are NOT created equal. Some calories are burned as energy while other calories are process and stored as fat, something that you want to avoid in losing weight.
The Two Components that are Missing from Nutrition Labels that will Determine Your Success at Dropping Weight
Just Refer to the standard nutrition label, above, there are two components that aren’t listed that have a dramatic effect on your ability and success to drop weight and get into better shape. It is essential to identify these two components and determine their metrics as they will determine the success of your diet program. By determining their metrics, you can start dropping weight, inches, and even years off of your skin in weeks instead of waiting for months.
One of these components is your kryptonite, or culprit in your weight lost. These are your simple carbs, those hidden sugars, that are devastating to your diet and to your health in general. These hidden sugars are what causes your weight gain, high blood pressure, high blood glucose, and your high cholesterol numbers. These are what your doctor speaks to you about lowering your at your annual physicals.
The other component is beneficial as your force multiplier in your diet, this acts as your TURBOCHARGER in your diet, for dropping weight and for improving your general health and fitness. These component are your omega-3 fats. Omega-3 fats are your force multiplier to:
Improve your metabolism to burn food as energy for your weight lost.
Improve your skin’s health (for younger looking skin not by years, but by decades).
Improve your cognitive function for sharpness by preventing age related mental decline.
Reduce your stress and anxiety levels to function at a higher level even when challenged.
Improve your stamina and mental awareness.
Improve your vision as you age.
Improve your Cardiovascular health and blood circulation.
Reduce your inflammation both in your arteries, skin, joints, and synapse.
Prevent other age related issues.
This is why your omega-3 fats are a force multiplier when combined with your complex carbs, your dietary fiber, fructose, and your protein to enable you to drop weight, inches, and years off in weeks instead of waiting for months to achieve. If you are planning to make New Year’s Resolutions, you are expecting to see results within 6- weeks, or by mid-February.
If people don’t see results in six (6) weeks, this causes people to give up on their New Year’s Resolutions by the middle part of February. Dropping weight and inches off are too important to your health just to throw-in the towel and give up in those six (6) weeks. Believe me, your life depends on you losing weight for overall better health and for a more active lifestyle. The last thing that you want to do is to work 30-odds years to only retire and not be able to enjoy your retirement.
Extrapolating Data from the Nutrition Label for Your Force Multiplier
I used my Chemical Engineering background in October of 2014 to extrapolate what is called the Metabolic Rate (MR) score from the standard nutrition label, shown above. I knew that Pinto Beans are considered by dietitians to be the perfect food to eat for your health and fitness.
The MR score that I came up with for Pinto Beans was a score of 1.9718. The is a very low MR score that is why Pinto Beans are considered among the perfect foods for your health and fitness. I found through all my calculations for MR scores for various menu items that a MR score at or below a MR 3.25 are foods that the body can convert to an energy source instead of storing your food as fat.
The lower the MR score is below 3.25, the higher rate the body can metabolize your food into energy that the body needs to function at a healthy state. As noted in my Waistline Chart, above, I dropped weight to a tune of 4.85 pounds per inch just by knowing how to work with my body to how it converts food to energy instead of against my body.
Just within 10- weeks, I went from 37.75- inches, weighing in at 295- pounds, on November 28th, 2014 down to 31.75- inches, weighing in at 265.9- pounds, by February 09th, 2015. But, I also managed to drop my blood pressure, blood glucose, and cholesterol numbers, as noted, below from my August 30th, 2023 physical:
Blood pressure- 115/61
Blood Glucose- 109 (Non Fasting)
Total Cholesterol- 158
Waistline- 28.50″
Weight- 148 Lbs.
BMI- 18.75
OBSERVATION: How many diets allow you to drop in addition to your weight and inches in your waistline, also allows you to drop years off the age of your skin.
I Dropped Something that was totally unexpected
In addition to dropping from 37.75- inches on November 28th, 2014, when I started The MELIORA Health & Fitness Program, down to 31.75- inches within 10- weeks, I dropped about 25- years off the age of my skin. Now at age 66 with a waistline of 28.50- inches, I have skin and condition that I had in my mid-30’s.
My initial goal was to just get into better shape to start my sportswear and performance company by June of 2015. I was just planning on producing fitness and training videos at first. But due to the two-and-a-half decades that I dropped off the age of my skin, I was able to do something that I wouldn’t even expect to do, that was modeling with young ladies that work with me in their early 20’s.

In this AB Challenge, below, I dropped a total of 52- pounds and 9.25- inches in my waistline. This photograph is taken nine (9) years after I developed and started The MELIORA Health & Fitness Program.
