THE QATSPY® Inside the Leather Sports Page- The Golfer’s Key Processes in Developing a Natural Golf Swing D-PRO Preset from Tee-to-Green
A key step toward developing a consistent, single-digit golf handicap is developing natural, key processes to take advantage of the golfer’s natural key control points. Ninety percent of our golf swing is based on developing muscle memory to create a consistent golf game, instead of relying on swing thoughts. Swing thoughts are totally irrelevant and useless on the golf course.
The golfer will be relying totally on their muscle memory, or their instincts, that will automatically kick in, once they step foot onto the golf course. Swing thoughts will vanish into thin air. The key in developing muscle memory in golf is to relate particular muscle movements to key points, like how the golfer’s wrists anatomically preset.
Whoever came up with anatomical names for the human body deserves a gold medal for the key points that I use to preset my wrist in the featured image above. The two key points that I use to preset my wrists into the Lock Position in the featured image are called Processes. The person who named these Processes is a genius.
I use the Ulna and Radial Processes to preset two huge, key muscle memories in my golf swing from the tee to around the green. The two muscles are the Palmaris Longus Muscle/Tendon and the Brachio-Radialis Muscle. For short, I call these muscles Palmer and Brach, like the BRACH’S candy company. These are very unique muscles in what they perform in daily activities.
The Palmer Muscle/Tendon- hinges, or syncs the wrists back and forth and also grips the handle of the golf club. That alone should grip the golfer’s attention.
The Brach Muscle- Opens and closes the clubface and allows the forearms to lift the handle of the golf club to the top of the golf swing, along with presetting my wrists, as I have demonstrated in my Bunt-Type Pitch Training Video below:
The Ulna Styloid Process is used to Sync the Palmer Tendon. This tendon is visible in most people, so it provides what sports psychologists refer to as sports imagery. The Ulna Styloid is a noticeable nodule above your Pinky knuckle.
The Radial Styloid Process is used to Preset the Brach Muscle. There is a nodule that is not as noticeable as the Ulna Styloid Process, just above the thumb that Pronates the wrists. This is where the Brach muscle connects.
These two nodules, shown above, are used to develop the muscle memory to Sync and Preset the wrists in the Palmer Golf D-PRO TECH that is explained in the Download procedure that I have attached below.
NOTE: The D-PRO stands for Dorsiflexion and Pronation, two (2) of the key wrist actions to SYNC and PRESET the golfer’s wrists into the Lock Position. This can be done in your garage hitting chip shots as I have demonstrated in my training video, above. Just have a backstop in place to catch long chip shots. This Sync and Preset will complete 80% of the golfer’s swing mechanics.
