The Top Two New Year’s Day Resolution are Losing Weight and Getting into Better Shape
Millions of people this Holiday Season will make the top two resolutions to lose weight and to get into better shape. Trying to lose weight and getting into better shape doesn’t have to be as grueling or as difficult as if your are Indiana Jones searching the ends of the earth for the Holy Grail of looking younger. If you recall this was what Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was based on in the movie finding the Holy Grail.
If there are two components that are prominent and can’t escape notice, it is your fitness and the health of your skin, especially the skin around your eyes, mouth, and neck. Your fitness and skin are front and center that projects your health and fitness.
Below are three things you can do on Your Own to Improve Your Fitness and the health of Your skin:
First and Foremost You Are What You Eat
Your diet is at the core of both your fitness, in terms of weight control, and health of your skin to a tone of about 80 percent. On New Year Day, if you are like millions of other people, you will make two of the top New Year’s Resolutions, to lose weight and to get into better shape. Let me be the first to inform you that you can’t just focus on hitting the GYM or start running around the block to lose your weight and inches. You are going to have to start on what you eat.
You can’t solve 80 percent of your health and fitness issues with only 20 percent of your potential of just exercising by working out in a GYM or at home. Even during one of my strenuous 60- minute exercise sessions, I’m burning on average about 585 calories. A Big Mac contains 540 calories just to give you a sense of where your biggest potential is in your efforts to lose weight and get into better shape.
The Actual Holy Grail of Losing Weight and Getting into Better Shape, Is Based on WHAT and WHEN You Eat
The WHAT to eat is as simple as knowing how to read Nutrition Labels, like Indiana Jones does interpreting a secret code from a series of clues. You want your meal items to be at or below a Health Index (HI) factor of 3.25 (based on 9 data points). These data points will indicate food that is high in Protein, Fiber, and Omega-3 fats, but low in sugar and especially the hidden sugars, those pesky starches. Protein and fiber are how you provide collagen for your body to use for healthier looking skin.
The WHEN to eat is just as important as WHAT to eat for two reasons: FIRST– Eating between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. is when our bodies is most effective in metabolizing our food as energy with 2 p.m. being the peak time that our body’s metabolizing food. This is why at 2 p.m. you want to have a sack for boosting our energy level. The SECOND– Eating food with a Health Index (HI) factor at or below 3.25 will allow your body to use your food and excess fat as energy instead of storing your food as more fat. THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU WANT TO DO! This is where most diets fail on delivering results.
If you combine WHAT you eat (HI ≤ 3.25) with WHEN you eat (between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) you will turn your body into a Turbocharged-Calorie-Burning-Juggernaut where you are shedding weight like my dog does his hair, he is a Golden Retriever. Below, I have included my Waistline Chart with an Ab Challenge photograph taken in August of 2022 at age 65.
The WHEN factor was substantiated by a medical report that John Tesh sighted on his radio show, Intelligence for Your Life, on May 11, 2022 about how eating before 6 p.m. allows your body to provide you with age-defying, healthier, and younger looking skin. As noted in the photograph below with my Waistline Chart. I started my diet on November 28, 2014, right at the start of the holidays. After 8-years when I started my DELPHI DIET, I still have a 28.50- inch waistline down from 37.75- inch waistline.
So you can actually shed weight during the holidays and do it even if you are over the age of 50, as I have proven that you can DO THIS.
Don’t Forget to Hit the GYM, However
If you want a healthier and a younger toned looking body with that age-defying skin, than building stronger muscles will be your ticket to having skin that looks years if not decades younger. The reason for strength training is right beneath the skin there are what we call Fibroblast Natural Growth Hormone receptors that are a part of your connective tissue under the skin.
These Fibroblast receptors are what supplies collagen and growth hormones to our skin for that healthier younger looking skin that we spend millions of dollars on each year on jars of cream and taking supplements. Simple Cardio-Aerobic-Strength Training (CAST) can keep these receptors functioning at their top performance providing your body with collagen and natural growth hormones. Remember Collagen and growth hormones are great for joint health support especially as we age.
I had an opportunity to interview Coach Bobby Hall, a very successful high school football coach here in Madison County, MS. During the interview in 2019, Coach Hall stated and emphasized that a stronger athlete is a better performing athlete. Same theory applied to our skin, stronger muscles provide for stronger, younger, and healthier looking skin.
Your diet will allow you to shed those unwanted pounds, inches, and years; but exercises are essential for toning and firming our muscles and our skin. Those exercises that is part of your New Year’s Day Resolution should include: Cardio-Aerobic and Strength Training. Please don’t neglect your strength training and just focus on your Cardio-Aerobics alone.
What My Success Looks Like Now 8-Years after Starting My DELPHI DIET & CAST FITNESS System

Even to a point of doing an AB Challenge in our hangar after we did a photoshoot in August of 2022, sitting on my INDIAN Scout Bobber 60.

When You need a Professional Skincare Professional
In September of 2022, I had a growth that developed on my skin that I had a Physician Assistant and a Plastic Surgeon checkout and removed to make sure that it wasn’t cancerous. The growth that was removed in the Plastic Surgeon’s office under a local turned out to be benign. That was great news!
