Medicine Cabinet Providing Age-Defying Skincare Routine Health That’s Effective and Inexpensive that provides Clinical results
As we age, skincare becomes an important health concern, just like our heart and our other general health and fitness concerns are. In most cases, our skin, as we approach our 30′ and 40’s, becomes a primary concern, even among men, because it reflects our general health, fitness, and our self-esteem. We want to avoid surgery if all possible and take care of the simple issues.
The skin around the eyes is a major point that draws people’s attention. This is a major component of people’s first impression, more than any other factor. And wearing masks during this Pandemic has underscored the eyes even more so. To protect this delicate skin around our eyes, a good pair of sunglasses are essential with UVA and UVB protection.
The runner-up to our eyes and skin is our physical fitness. We project ourselves to others by our body language and by our posture that are major factors of our self-esteem. Our actions always are more prevalent than our verbal communications. Getting and keeping someone attention is a major factor in being a good communicator, of getting our message across to others; and our appearance goes along way in accomplishing this.
There are three (3) contributing factors to achieve healthy, age-defying skin. The FIRST is our nutrition that is 80% of our skin’s health, especially a diet high in fiber and protein essential for collagen. Collagen is essential to keep skin tighter and firmer. Our SECOND, and is just as important as nutrition, is our fitness. A good fitness program followed, three or four times per week, should focus on Cardio, Aerobics, Strength, and Pilates Exercises that should be enjoyable, but just as important, provide results. You won’t follow a diet or fitness program that doesn’t yield results. Both nutrition and fitness strengthen our T-Cells that is important to our immune systems and healthier skin.
Part of our skin health are supplements, like Brewer’s Yeast. This is a supplement that I have been taking for the past 30-years. Brewer’s Yeast maintains skin’s health and its elasticity. Brewer’s Yeast also reduces the risk of skin cancer. Regarding skin health, Brewer’s Yeast supports Liver Health.
That’s not all that Brewer’s Yeast does in supporting our health, as it also benefits healthy-looking hair and maintains the natural color longer as we approach our 50’s and 60’s. Another interesting health contribution of Brewer’s Yeast is that it supports the nervous system. Brewer’s Yeast is a rich source of minerals like: chromium, selenium, protein, and B complex, riboflavin, Pantothenic acid, and biotin.
The THIRD approach to age-defying skin is external skincare itself. This approach is what we can do externally to maintain skin’s elasticity, in addition to supplements, nutrition, and fitness.
Part of my external skincare is using AXE Snake Peel scrub that contains cactus oil. I also use shaving soap with hot water to shave, followed up with cold water to rinse to tighten the skin. At night, I apply Witch Hazel mixed with Apple Cider Vinegar after shaving and showering to wipe down my face, as this also tightens the skin.
I coach and play golf three-to-four times a week and I also work on my farm where I’m exposed to the elements and sun. Before I retired after 33-years as a Transmission Line Grid Engineer, my work took me out into the field that included flying. I did two things to protect my skin: I wore a cap and used sunscreen with an SPF of 15.
In the photograph below, I am 63- Years old and have followed this regimen since I was in my teens at the insistence of a very persistent grandmother who stressed both skincare and dental hygiene. My skincare, shown in the feature image, includes AXE Snake Peel, with cactus oil, Witch Hazel w/ Apple Cider Vinegar, Corn Huskers Lotion, Brewer’s Yeast, Aramis after-shave/cologne, and shaving soap.
Below was a photograph that was taken on a dare from linemen that I used to work with before I retired in September of 2014. I was called back from retirement to help out with restoration efforts after Hurricanes Laura and Delta. The linemen couldn’t believe that I was in better shape at age 63 than at age 58 when I retired.
Most of my Medicine Cabinet skincare that I use is just applied to my face, but the importance of fitness and nutrition is revealed here with my shirt off, in the photograph below. Not many 63- year olds would had their photograph taken with their shirt off. I wanted to show the impact that your nutrition (80%) and fitness (20%) has on your health.
I credit three (3) components- FIRST, my Nutrition with my 925-MET Diet that allowed me to lose 52- pounds after age 58 (attached above) within 9- months. SECOND- my CASPER Fitness Program (see my 3-YouTube fitness Videos below). And THIRD, my skincare regimen that is inexpensive that I refer to as my medicine cabinet clinic, as shown in the featured photograph.
NOTE: One thing about losing weight after the age 50 is that it is extremely difficult to do and you are working against and defying tremendous odds to achieve weight lost and not to mention to keep off the weight. I have not only lose 52- pounds in 9-months starting in December of 2014, I have kept the weight off for six- years now. My 925-MET Diet LINK below is FREE until November 30, 2020. Take advantage of this diet and lose the weight and look and feel better than you ever had in your adult life.

In these YouTube Videos, I renovated my area above by golf training area into a GYM last year. I did all the work myself with my neighbor helps. Now it has proved to be the best spent money I have ever spent given the pandemic preventing us from working out a gyms. Pay close attention to the brick wallpaper, this is significant because it is a mental fatigue reducer. You associate brick to being outside.
