Kerosene Cowboy, Backbone of Our Defense that Fuels our Economy. Jet-A Fuel fuels our commercial flights for travel and Fighter Jets Defense
I hate to break the news to the Democrats and Joe Biden, but we don’t have Warp-Drive Impulse engines yet, based on deuterium fusion reactor to strap on to our commercial jet aircraft or fighter jets. Last time I checked, jet engines we have today run on Jet-A Fuel, a highly-refined grade of Kerosene-based fuel from fossil fuels. Aviation is a bunch of Kerosene Cowboys.
I enjoy watching Star Trek, just like the next guy does of interplanetary travel at the speed of light. But even the latest F-35 Lightning doesn’t travel on the energy from lightning in the range of 125 Kiloamps that produce those extraordinary lightning strikes that light up the night sky.
If you focus ONLY on passenger vehicles and just replace those gasoline and diesel engines with electricity-based fuel sources, you’re ignoring the Trucking, Agriculture, and Aviation industries that have sustained our economy and, more important, our lives during this Pandemic.
Democrats have a habit of making broad statements, like Joe Biden did during last Thursday’s Presidential Debate, of phasing out fossil fuels within a decade- and-a-half without a viable replacement. I know I’m just a Kerosene Cowboy with an engineering degree, but I know you can’t run commercial trucking and aviation on battery-supplied power. Turbines and Turbo engines can’t run off of battery power only.
Unless Joe Biden has plans and tooling to mass produce a Warp-Drive Impulse based on deuterium fusion reactors or a Hydrogen engine that we can strap onto commercial or fighter jets, we are going to have to park a lot of aircraft on tarmacs. We have already seen the devastating effect of that during this pandemic. This is not to mention the impact that the Democrats proposal to ban fossil fuels has on our farmers and ranchers that depend on diesel, natural, or propane engines to power their agriculture equipment, like tractors.
Democratic Proposal to Ban Fossil Fuels within 15-Years
Democratic proposals lack the real life, where the rubber meets the road test to be workable on a commercial level. Until we develop a Warp-Drive Impulse based on deuterium fusion reactors or Hydrogen engine, we need to stay with what made us the most successful nation in the World and develop the next generation power plant and fuel source to power our power plants, vehicles, aircraft, and industrial engines.
I wasn’t always a Kerosene Cowboy, as I was at one time a Grid Engineer (retired) who spent my time building and maintaining this nation’s power grid. I’ve been through Hurricane Katrina and Rita that cut off fuel supplies to the south and eastern parts of our nation. No one needs to witness that situation again. It stopped our whole economy in its tracks. There were vehicles in fuel lines that were over three-quarters of a mile long.
Grocery stores that depended on backup generation to run their huge freezers were running out of fuel. I would hate to hand over our economy and nation to a party that is pushing to ban fossil fuels without a legitimate source of fuel that could power not just our vehicles, but our aircraft, commercial, and agricultural equipment.
Until that date, I’m staying a Kerosene Cowboy. Just remember, if you like your plan, you can keep your plan, and if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. We can’t believe that with what powers our nation.
