Gutfeld Show on Cory Booker on the Right– Cory Booker stated on July 4 that You can’t outrun Your OREO’s and Your other Added Sugars in Food
For once he is on the RIGHT SIDE of an issue!
Gutfeld Stated how even Senator Cory Booker can finally be right on health and fitness that Gutfeld pointed out that I can even agree with Senator Cory Booker’s Statement!
On the Greg Gutfeld Show, last night (July 08th, 2022), Greg made a comment that Senator Cory Booker made a statement that he (Greg) agreed with. Senator Cory Booker made a video where he stated that regardless how much he worked out and ran, he couldn’t outrun the sugars (glucose) that are in Oreo’s. He challenged people to take a pledge to lose weight between July the 4th and Labor Day, or over a 63- day, or 9- week, period.
Let me provide those taking Cory Booker up on his fitness challenge– You can expect to lose approx. 0.25- inch in your waistline each week, or about 2 pounds a week based on an effective diet and fitness routine. For every inch, that you loss in your waistline will represent approximately 8.0 pounds or weight loss.
I prefer to measure my waistline as to weighing-in, Here’s the reason; I have a strength program that I follow, where I add muscle while losing fat. One cup of Muscle weighs 9.7 oz., whereas one cup of Fat weighs 7.50 oz. So muscle weighs about 22.68% more than fat. So if you are adding muscle while losing fat, it just might be a traded off!

Losing Inches and Weight is all about WHAT and WHEN to Eat
The WHAT– To lose weight, you’ve gotta eat a diet high in Protein, Fiber, and Omega-3, while lowering your intake of Sugars and especially the hidden sugars (Starches). The hidden sugars (Starches) are the real culprit in your diet, because they are more appetizing due to sodium than your sugar-based foods. Take potato chips for example that taste great and are very tempting, and try to eat just one chip.
You can use the standard Nutrition Label on foods to identify the foods that are high in Protein, Fiber, and Omega-3’s, but low in sugars (both fructose and glucose) levels and the hidden sugars (Starches).
The WHEN– When is just as important as WHAT to eat. Tyrus (George) Murdoch on this same show that night highlighted this by stating he doesn’t eat past 5 p.m. This is bases of my diet as well that is based on your body’s natural Circadian Rhythms, where our body metabolizes food between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., with its peak period at 2 p.m. This is the reason most of us need a healthy snack around 2 p.m.
Your Fitness Factor
Like what Senator Cory Booker discovered that he stated in his video, you can’t run your way into losing weight. ONLY 20 percent of your weight loss can be contributed to your fitness routine, at best burning 550 calories, that I do. But, don’t neglect working out, as that is the only means to strengthen and tone your body. I workout 45- minutes per day, 6-days per week, in my GYM. I wouldn’t have toned my muscles and obtained a flat stomach without my fitness routine in the above photograph in our hangar.
Just a NOTE for those adding a fitness routine to their Diet- When you doing your Cardio-Aerobic component of your exercises you will need to reach your TARGET HEART RATE (THR) for at least 15- Minutes during your entire workout to be effective.
NOTE: Those just starting out working out- shoot for a THR of 55% of your age minus 220.
So how do you figure your TARGET HEART RATE: Take 80% of your age subtracted from 220. For those wanting a more challenging workout you can take 85 to 90% of your age minus 220.
Example: My THR that I strive for is at 85%= (220 – 65) X 0.85 = 131 bpm

Developing Your Diet and Fitness
The most successful diet and fitness system is based on the PRIMO APP- Purpose, Results, Incremental Metrics, and Objectives Approach. The first and most difficult step in starting a diet and fitness system is to do the following:
Purpose– Document your current status with photograph(s) and metrics (taking measurements). I prefer a waistline measurement in order to chart your progress, as I did above. This is the most difficult part of getting to where you want to go, losing weight and inches. That photograph is your motivation.
Results– Chart your start and measure your progress, measuring your waistline at least once or twice a week is essential. Compare that with your Incremental Metrics. Your goal is to lose at least one-quarter inch per week. My Waistline Chart progress is posted, above.
Incremental Metrics– Log in your waistline at least once a week. This provides feedback and the ability to correct your diet if needed.
Let me give you an example- In July of 2019, I wanted a fruit salad to go with my steaks that I was serving to my guest. I added coconut flakes not knowing they had a very high Health Index (HI) number of 8.75. I don’t eat anything over a Health Index of 3.25. Now you see the problem I had by gaining almost 1.0 inch in my waistline just with that one item. I was thinking coconut flakes would be a health selection without checking the HI.
Objective– Of course, your objective is to lose the weight and inches, but you’ve got to have incremental objectives, like losing one-quarter inch per week. Your waistline goal is to take your height in inches and divide by 2. This is your healthy waistline. But, In my case, I had a 37.75- inch waist on November 28, 2014 as noted in my Waistline Chart. Since I was modeling in June of 2015 for my sportswear business, I used a 2.20 factor. My waistline objective based on my height of 66- inches was 66 divided by 2.20, or a 30- inch waistline.
I established my objective by taking 37.75- inches minus 30.00 = 7.75. Since on average, you can lose approx. a quarter inch per week, put my date at 7.75/0.25 = 31 weeks, or July 03rd, 2015.
How I reached my Objective
I have a Chemical Engineering background where I developed The DELPHI DIET & CAST FITNESS System that I still follow today. This allowed me to model at age 65 with young ladies that are in their early 20’s. We model the authentic A-2 and G-1 Leather Flight Jackets and the CWU-45P Nylon Flight Jacket. Above is a photo that a fellow photographer took. She needed a photo of a boxing bag workout for a client. On July 02, 2022, she asked if she could come by and do a photoshoot of me in my GYM while working out on the boxing bag. The only stipulation that I had was that she scheduled the photoshoot during the early morning and at the first part of my workout, because I sweat profusely, due to the fact that my GYM isn’t air- conditioned. Temperatures can reach upwards of 115 degrees Fahrenheit during the summer months, shown below.
I was more than willing to help my photographer friend out, because she took the following photograph for my book after we did the photoshoot for our TOP GUN:MAVERICK Flight Jacket Collection. This was taken in our hangar with a P-51 Mustang in the background:
