I woke up during the early morning hours of Friday, November 19, 2021 at 2:30 AM to capture the picture of one of the longest lunar eclipses in 580- years. That is even before Columbus sailed the Ocean Blue in 1492. Part of my objective was to see if I could capture a quality photograph of the Lunar eclipse, but my other objective was to show how precise and ordered our universe actually is.
I captured the featured photograph to prove that there is nothing random or chaotic about the universe. Sir Isaac Newton even developed calculus to assist in plotting the elliptical orbit of the planets, which couldn’t be done up to that time. Believe me, I spent a better part of my college hours studying the works of Sir Isaac Newton in the pursuit of becoming an Engineer.
Astrophysicists are able to determine the exact time of Friday morning’s Lunar eclipse, right down to the minute that the eclipse started and the time of 92% of maximum totality. I was able to capture the feature image 15- minutes right before the 92% of maximum totality.
You can apply Newton’s third law of motion to sports that states- For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction, where your golf game won’t be random and chaotic. I’m not going to bore you with physics or calculus, but I will tell you about the wrist action in the golf swing that creates a tremendous amount of force and predictability that you can have in your golf game. I’m going to give you a little advice. There’s a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.
In the universe of Kinesiology and sports in general, there is a force that is based on engaging the small muscles, prior to the athlete using their larger core muscles. Presetting the wrist action in the golf swing will allow the golfer to get in touch with this tremendous force, for the golfer’s power and control. But there one obstacle that stands in the golfer’s way, and that is they have to stop thinking and rely on touch, or fine motor skills.
Things the Golfer Can Work on to Stop Thinking and Develop their Touch
Here’s how to eliminate the random and/or chaotic part of your golf game. I use the home plate and strike zone, shown above in my illustration, to help my students to stop thinking and get in touch with their motor skills. This allows the golfer to take their golf swing from the batter’s box to the tee box.
