Below is an independent Podcast book review of my NEW Book entitled: The MELIORA Health & Fitness Program– This is a diet and fitness program that I developed to allow me at age 67 to be able to model my ACE SPORTY Cockpit Apparel & Gear with models in their mid-20’s.
The best way to measure the success of a diet and fitness program isn’t just the weight and inches that you can drop and be able to keep your weight and inches off, but dropping the years and decades off of the appearance of your skin. One of the best gauges to measure the results of a diet and fitness program isn’t in the mirror but stepping in front of a camera for a photoshoot. The lens of the camera will provide you with the most detailed critique.
The MELIORA Health & Fitness Program that I started on November 28th, 2014, allowed me to drop 26- Lbs. and 4.75- inches in my waistline during the month of December of 2014. This is when most people find it difficult to drop inches off their waistline and pounds. Usually during the Holidays, between Thanksgiving and New Years, we pick up the unwanted inches and pounds.
The podcast book review below provides an overview of the documentation from my book that I did that included the WHAT and WHEN I should eat that turned my body into a Turbocharged-Calorie-Burning Juggernaut even at age 57. Ten (10) years later, I’m able to maintain the health and fitness that I enjoyed in my mid-30’s, now at age 67.

The term Meliora is a Latin term for a better or improved process.
Just a few little key issues to listen for during this podcast- The MELIORA DIET is based on two simple principles of how our body’s processes our food and existing fat either as for ENERGY that you want to occur; or store as FAT that you don’t want. The MELIORA DIET is based on WHAT you eat using the just nine-(9) data points off the standard nutrition label and WHEN you eat between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Just remember not all calories or carbohydrates are created equal.
What you are doing with The MELIORA DIET is selecting certain foods that your body can naturally metabolize as energy instead of storing your food as fat. You will discover that your main culprit that is preventing your weight loss isn’t just carbs, but those SIMPLE CARBS. These are those simple starches, those hidden sugar that add those unwanted inches and pounds.
Just for example, compare the nutrition label for sweet potato to that of an Idaho potato that even the SUGAR BUSTER DIET did in making a destination between COMPLEX CARBS and SIMPLE CARBS. the simple carbs are what you want to avoid at all cost shown below:
The sweet potato is a healthier choice for your diet, even for diabetics, because the CARBS in sweet potatoes are complex carbs, to stabilize diabetic’s sugar levels, instead of the unhealthy simple carbs (your simple starches) and the sugar in sweet potato are fructose that can readily be process by the body into energy.
When actors, actresses, and models want to get into shape with great looking ABS for a shoot, they have sweet potatoes and pinto beans as their main two components in their diets. I do the same for my diet to be able to model and have a healthy lifestyle, even now at age 67.
Even eating between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. was discussed on John Tesh’s show, Intelligence for Your Life, for a whole host of healthy reasons among these are- healthier weight, blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol levels for cardiovascular health, and a healthier BMI. I would suggest that you listen to the John Tesh show to improve your lifestyle and health.
Below are results from my last physical done in September of 2024:
Blood pressure- 125/82
Blood Glucose- 109 (Non Fasting)
Total Cholesterol- 158
PSA- 0.01
Waistline- 28.50″
Weight- 148 Lbs. BMI- 18.75
NOTE: The reason that my PSA is below the normal healthy reading of 4.00 or less was in 2023 my PSA was 6.2 that lead to me having stage 2 Prostate Cancer that required a Prostatectomy in February 2024. Guys I note this to emphasis to you the importance of getting your PSA done. It saved my life, DO NOT neglect having your physical and PSA done annually. The last three follow ups shows that I’m clear of my Prostate Cancer.
SO WHAT IS A HEALTHY WAISTLINE- This is easy to determine by taking your height in inches and simply dividing by 2. For example, my height is 64- inches; that means I should have a waistline of at or below 64/2 = 32- inches. My actual waistline line is 29- inches, refer to my waistline chart above of my progress following The MELIORA DIET & FITNESS Program now going on 10- years:
Do three other things to achieve a healthy lifestyle, even over the age of 65, follow a healthy fitness program that includes strength training and active meditation, develop a trade skill for a hobby, and get involved in a low impact sport– like golf or pickle ball. These are great activities to have in your life. My hobby is welding and covering sports.
