A delicious and Healthy Fruit Salad that has a low Health Index Factor of 2.88, instead of a higher and unhealthy 6.63 with coconut flakes and sour cream. The coconut flakes and sour cream are your health risk culprits. You can live without these and have a healthier Strawberry, Banana, pecan, yogurt fruit salad.

Coconut Surprise and Its Health Impact– Coconut Flakes on a Fruit Salad, a Delicious Dish for the Summer Months, But Watch the Health Index

In 2019, we did a photoshoot for my TOP GUN Collection, where I hosted a cookout afterwards for the entire crew. I decided at the last minute to have an ole family classic, a fruit salad, that we used to make at our Deli. One of the main ingredients was coconut flakes in this fruit salad. Like most accented ingredients used while working with my grandfather in his bakery/Deli, we overloaded the fruit salad with coconut flakes topping for presentation with strawberries and bananas. (I still do catering as part of my business.)

I knew the sour cream had a extremely high Health Index (HI) Factor of 17.14, so I used plain yogurt at a HI of 2.85, instead of using the sour cream. The Bananas had a HI of 2.38, Strawberries HI- 2.19, and Pecans HI- 2.70, and now for the surprise that I wasn’t expecting, as the coconut flakes have a HI of 11.11. Never gave coconut flakes a second thought when I was making the fruit salad.

Three (3) days after our photoshoot and dinner, I measured my waistline, like I always do, twice a week, and I went from a waistline of 28.75- inches, up to a waistline to 30.15- inches. So I tracked all of what I ate over the past two days in my diary; I didn’t do a HI Factor on the coconut and was shocked when I did. Ninety percent of all my food is below a HI Factor of 3.25. The coconut was 3.41 times that factor.

If you use coconut, use it very sparingly, because you think being natural is a healthy choice for you. The only thing that I have discovered being on The DELPHI DIET & CAST FITNESS System is that the only thing more important than WHEN to eat, is WHAT to eat. When I started my diet and fitness system in November of 2014, I concentrated on WHEN I ate, but I didn’t see the results that I was expecting until I focused on WHAT I was eating, based on the Health Index Factor (HI).

The fruit salad shown above is one that I just made for my birthday, without the coconut flakes or sour cream. Instead, I used plain yogurt in place of the extremely high HI factor sour cream. The HI for the entire fruit salad is 2.88. Believe me, I can lose the coconut and sour cream and reduce my HI by 3.75, or 56.56%. In addition, fruit salad is a great substitute for a dessert and one that is appetizing for any occasion. Your guests would enjoy the healthy choice of fruit, rather than the customary desserts.

I turned my body into a Turbocharged Calorie-Burning Juggernaut, where I dropped not only (52) pounds and over 8.50- inches, but years off my condition of my skin. Even at age 65, I’m shown in our latest TOP GUN photoshoot with my models that are in their early twenties, as shown below.

This was taken May 19, 2022 for the upcoming release of TOP GUN:MAVERICK Movie that was delayed, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The original release date was July of 2020, then again on December of 2020.

Part of my CAST FITNESS includes a boxing bag workout in my GYM. A fellow photographer needed a boxing bag workout photoshoot for a client. So she called me on July 02, 2022 and asked if she could drop by and take some photographs I just asked that she do it early in the morning before temperatures in the GYM got to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. My GYM isn’t air-conditioned on purpose to provide a conditioning component. Sweating is great for the skin:
