DELPHI Age-Defying Fitness System- Diet-Rejuvenate Exercise X-Training Cardio, Aerobic, Strength & Yoga Training for Age-Defying Fitness

Never STOP being active and exercising, because as soon as you do STOP being active and exercising, especially after age 20, your health will be negatively impacted. A key component to achieve top level performance in academics, sports, and your professional career is the ability to develop and maintain one’s fitness, balance, and confidence.

But having a sense of impaired equilibrium isn’t obvious in most people under 40, but it usually shows up in a form of mental fog or lack of concentration and lack of confidence. As we age, maintaining one’s equilibrium becomes a serious health threat and a decrease in mental function. We’ve got to challenge our body and mind with exercise and being active in a sport. Mine just happens to be golf, which is one of the best mental challenges.

   

A Lot of Attention is Given to Maintaining Confidence

A lot of attention is given to one’s confidence, but not enough attention is given to developing and maintaining one’s equilibrium, or balance. I’m referring to a person’s emotional, physical, and mental balance. As we age, we lose a certain degree of our equilibrium that interrupts our mental function. I can personally attest to the lack of equilibrium at a very young age that led to me developing learning disabilities. I had both impaired vision and a lack of equilibrium that severely handicapped my abilities.

Here’s a suggestion I would like to make to all parents- Please introduce your young, preschool children to sports, even if they don’t feel athletic. Because sports just doesn’t only develop a child’s coordination, confidence, and athletic ability, but far more important, the child’s equilibrium. Sports are a great way to check your child’s learning skills, including their vision and equilibrium before they start school.

The best thing a parent can do for their child is to put a golf club into their hands, just for the mental development aspect. A great way to learn the golf swing is to start off with a baseball-type swing first, then transition into a golf swing. Refer to my Orange Bucket Challenge video below:

A typical part of my golf practice routine is where I hit five 295-yard tee shots where my objective is to get 4-out-of-5 of my tee shots to hit within 15-foot of my Home Depot orange bucket. I refer to this practice technique as my Orange Bucket Challenge. This helps to setup simulated course conditions during my practice sessions. To add a higher degree of pressure to your Orange Bucket Challenge, just video tape your challenge. This video ran on the WJTV-12 Television station’s Sports Zone during the US Open in June of 2021.

The Questions concerning My Lack of Development

Everyone kept asking me when I was age eight, two questions- ONE was why didn’t I ride a bicycle? SECOND was why didn’t I play baseball. The simple answer to both was that I couldn’t maintain my balance on the bicycle; and the second answer was that I couldn’t see the ball, much less the pitcher, or anything else outside a 10-inch radius of my nose. I would like to offer a special thanks to Mike Ray for helping me during this difficult time.

Just a simple task of riding a bicycle is critical to a child’s early childhood development. Developing and maintaining equilibrium isn’t JFK (Just For Kids), but is essential for adults as well, especially older adults over 40. An exercise bike is an essential component of my D-REX Age-Defying Diet & Fitness Program.

The Benefits of DELPHI Age-Defying Fitness System

I would like to point to four areas where DELPHI Age-Defying Fitness System is helpful to children and especially to adults over the age of 20:

FIRST– As we age, we start to lose muscle tone and start to gain weight, which causes us to lose stamina unless we supercharge and rejuvenate our bodies with proper diet and exercise. The DELPHI Age-Defying Fitness Systemo and Aerobic Training.

One of my main aerobic exercises is working out with my boxing bag in my GYM, in between my strength and cardio exercises for 30- seconds. I have 14- Elements in a typical workout sessions. That is like Two-and-a-half rounds in boxing. Another technique that I use is to have a respite, between performing either 10 or 20 reps in each element. I take a 15-second respite between my reps. This allows me to do more reps for each exercise element.

   

SECOND– As we age, we also lose a certain percentage of our muscle mass and strength after the age of 20, with about 10- percent decline per decade past our 20’s. This is where having a strength training component is essential. The biggest failure of some fitness programs is that they only focus exclusively on Cardio and Aerobics, with little attention given to the strength and toning training components.

THIRD– As I alluded to earlier, as we age, we lose our equilibrium, or balance. Equilibrium is a major factor in falls and loss of mental function. Falls are the number one cause of older people losing their independence and mobility, that also can lead to death. I ask you to just look at the statistics of older people that injure their hip and how falls affect their quality of life. I have included Yoga Training in my DELPHI Age-Defying Fitness System for equilibrium and flexibility. On one commercial during the Olympics, a young girl refer to Tai Chi as slow motion Karate.

FOURTH– A healthy Diet & Fitness is a great method to slow down and, in some cases, actually reverse the effects of the aging process. In the featured photograph above, I’m 63 years old. I work out in my un-air-conditioned and un-heated GYM over my golf training facility and photography studio, 5 times a week for 60-minutes for each session.

Sweat conditioning is an important component in The DELPHI Age-Defying Fitness System in my GYM. Especially during the summer months, I refer to my DELPHI Age-Defying Fitness System as my Sweat-It-Out session. This Sweat-It-Out Session is 60- minutes in length, with the heat index in my GYM at 120 degrees.

Sweating is a major part of my workout routine. Above, I’m shown in my GYM, right before I started my DELPHI Age-Defying Fitness System on August 03, 2021. You will notice my EVERLAST boxing bag, This is a huge part of my Aerobic and Cardio Training. Besides providing a great Aerobic and Cardio workout, the boxing bag also provides a great training for me to maintain my equilibrium and stamina. Matter of fact, therapists use the boxing bag workout to treat Parkinson’s patients, this program is called Rock Steady.

 

Why Measuring is Better than Weighing to gauge Your Health & Fitness

I have always been a proponent of taking assessment of your health and fitness by measuring rather than weighing. It is almost as if the health & Fitness profession thinks that muscle doesn’t have weight. Matter of fact, muscle has (1.1 g/ml) weight that is 22% heavier than fat (0.9g/ml). I gauge my fitness by taking two measurements:

Height-to-Waist ratio should be a factor of 2 or higher.

EXAMPLE– My Height-to-Waist Ratio is 65- inches/29.25- inches = 2.22 Factor

As you can tell I wasn’t highly recruited for basketball during my senior year in high school.

AND

Waist-to-hip ratio should be below 0.8 for women and 0.9 for men.
