Making the Golf Swing Instinctive

The golfer’s primary mission in golf is to have the golfer’s mechanics become automatic and natural, or in other words what I call instinctive Auto-Mechanics, in their performance on the course.

If your golf swing isn’t instinctive, the golfer’s swing will not be available to use on the golf course, especially after putting in all those hours working on your golf swing! Practice time is at a premium, you don’t want to waist this time and worst become confuse about your golf game on the course. Practice is all about using proper mechanics, techniques, and getting consistent reps.

The golfer might very well practice their golf swing using their conscious mind. But, I can guarantee the golfer this one thing, that when they step foot onto the golf course that they will be relying totally on their subconscious mind. So the golfer’s primary objective is to properly train their subconscious mind with reps in the backyard or training facility in order to perform them on the golf course. This area between the ears is essential to the golfer’s game on the golf course.

Matter of fact, the golfer’s subconscious mind will actually sabotage and scrap their golf techniques that they worked on during practice if it doesn’t reflects the golf course conditions. This is because the subconscious mind doesn’t consider their practice as instinctive. If anyone has ever tried to change just one habit in their lives, they’ll realize exactly what they will be experiencing and going up against in their golf game on the course, if the golf swing isn’t instinctive.

This is exactly why the golfer finds it difficult in trying to take their golf swing from practice to performance on the golf course. It seems like the golfer’s practice just vanishes into thin air, once the golfer gets on the first tee box. This is when the fog sets in between the golfer’s ears.

The more instinctive the golfer can make the CHAMPS golf swing mechanics during practice and training sessions using checkpoints the more natural the golf swing will be on the golf course.

Swing thoughts are totally useless on the golf course. One reason the golfer is relying on their instincts (subconscious) on the golf course. In the typical practice session, the golfer is instead focusing on swing thoughts (conscious) function.

The Subconscious mind performs 90 percent of the golfer’s golf swing!    To have the same golf game on the golf course that the golfer worked on in the backyard, range, or in their training facility, the golfer has to engage their subconscious mind in both instances. If golfer has to think, they’re not going to be able to perform their techniques on the golf course. Thinking is a conscious function, your golf game is a subconscious function. Totally two different functions.
