What is The CAJON-Style Mission Statement– To outfit our Clients with Confident/Comfortable, Classic ,Durable Go Anywhere-Do Anything Ensemble
The term CAJON translated from Spanish means drawer, but our CAJON collection gives our clients the ease of putting together a classic ensemble for any and all occasions from the drawer. Our CAJON-Style Collection consisting of Chino pants, A-2 Jacket, and Oxford shirts for that Nostalgic-Style for traveling with an ensemble that looks as great as it feels.
The CAJON- Style Collection was a major part of Indiana Jones’ ensemble that Harrison Ford wore on his expeditions that offered that classic, nostalgic, charisma look that is synonymous with U.S. ARMY Chinos and A-2 Leather Flight Jacket that have been the gold standard for over nine (9) decades.
We wanted to create the same Indiana Jones ensemble that could fit the active lifestyle of our clients and still provide a professional, classic business look with that comfortable, casual feel. It is to the advantage of our clients to be able to pack what they will need in just a carry-on bag to travel to their destination and still have that neat and fitted look. Our Oxford shirts come in various neck sizes and sleeve lengths for the fitted look. I’m 5- foot 6- inches and having clothes fit is a huge factor for me.
The CAJON-Style allows our clients the ability to pack and travel as light as possible with just a carry-on bag and still have the essentials, as shown in the image, above. We wanted to provide our client with a leather jacket that is worry-free and care-free that travels as well as it looks and still retains that classic look and feel for that added confidence.
Looking and feeling good often translate into improved performance. Ninety percent (90%) of our success is dependent on our mental confidence and conveying that confidence, the same as in sports. Remember the movie Trading Places with Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd on the beach at the end of the movie; see the movie clip below of this situation:
Clip from the movie Trading Places ‘Looking Good Billy Ray! Feeling Good Louis!’
Our US WINGS® Indiana Jones-Style Leather Jacket, that was actually used in the movie, provides that classic and confident look, due to its resilience of our top grade leather and craftsmanship. I personally wear my US WINGS® A-2 Leather Flight Jacket in the cockpit or while riding on my INDIAN Motorcycle, and still use it as my go-to sports jacket to meet clients, as shown in the featured image. Like your favorite blue jeans, the more you wear our collection of leather jackets, the more they will have that charisma patina look and feel that you will love the more you wear your leather jacket.
The Style and Resilience of Indiana Jones’ Outfit
The actual Indiana Jones-style Leather Jacket, with his chinos pants, and shirt held up under the rigors of traveling the world in search of those rare, archeological artifacts for museums and universities. In the first Indiana Jones movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark, shows Indiana Jones and his party hacking his way through the jungles of Burma or the Amazon, or navigating the deserts of Egypt while wearing his leather jacket, chino pants and khaki shirt with his fedora.
It wasn’t surprising that Indiana Jones’ outfit was heavily influenced by the U.S. Military that includes khaki Chino pants and shirt, with the his Indy-Style Leather Jacket. All were heavily influenced by the U.S. Army Air Corps uniform that also included the A-2 Leather Flight Jacket that was adopted by the U.S. Military in June of 1931 for the ARMY Air Corps. The A-2 Leather Flight Jackets that we supply to the U.S. Military have changed very little in over 92- years and inspired the Indiana Jones Leather Jacket. What other leather jackets could possibly inspire the charisma that created the Indiana Jones character than pilots flying missions in the cockpit?
The khaki Chinos pants that were also a part of Indiana Jones’ ensemble date back to 1898 during The Spanish-American War. U.S. Soldiers that wore those khaki color pants and shirts coined the name ‘Chino’ for the khaki color cotton fabric pants and shirts that were imported from China, where the rest became history.
Both pilots and even the Airborne units wore the A-2, while serving in the U.S. Army during WWII and even today. Pilots wore the A-2 in the cockpit of their fighters or bombers while flying sorties. The pilots and Airborne units that wore the A-2 Leather Flight Jackets had their unit insignia, rank, and in some cases, nose art painted on the back panel of their leather jackets that they wore as a badge of honor and distinction. There was nothing that stood out more than the A-2 Leather Flight Jacket that developed that charisma.
Just look at the recent TOP GUN: Maverick Movie, where Tom Cruise is wearing the TOP ACE U.S. NAVY FIGHTER WEAPONS SCHOOL G-1 Leather Jacket at the start and toward toward the end of the movie. Our leather jackets offer a great way to promote your business or organization with your logo/name that we can have our craft persons sew on to your leather jackets where each comes with its own spokesperson, which is you, your customers, or clients that know your business better than any television or radio ad can provide.
Another American Favorite that can be a part of the Ensemble, as well
We, at THE QATSPY®, would like to offer our clients another options to the khaki pants and shirt ensemble with a simple swap out with a dressier button-down Oxford shirt for that classic business or casual look that you might need. Nothing is classier than wearing a button-down Oxford Shirt. The khaki Chino pants can be swapped out with another American classic which is your favorite true blue blue jeans that have been a favorite of both men and women, since Levis Strauss introduced their denim fabric pants in 1871.
Next month, we will be rolling out our new logo on the L.L. BEAN® classic Button-Down Oxford Shir,t with our new logo THE QATSPY over the front left pocket, for THE QUAPAW AVIATION TACTICAL SPORTSWEAR & PERFORMANCE YELLOWSTONE OUTFITTERS. Please see the sample of the new logo embroidered on the L.L. Bean® classic Button-Down Oxford Shirt, below:
Denim blue jeans with a button-down Oxford shirt with an option of a tie and one of our leather jackets with chinos pants can offer you a great business or casual look for virtually all occasions. It is also a great weekend look for a getaway to meet friends, like tailgating for sporting events. It also gives your customers and friends a very down-to-earth comfortable feel. Setting an atmosphere for your customers or clients to feel comfortable in is essential and is job No. ONE for you to do in business!
I have long since mothballed my cloth sports jacket for my A-2 Leather Flight Jacket that I wear 10- months out of the year in Mississippi. Our leather jackets don’t need to be dry cleaned, but the only care needed is a simple wipe down with a paper towel. Just a simple solution of dish detergent (1 teaspoon) with water (1 cup) on a paper towel to just wipe down is all the cleaning our leather jackets require. We also carry leather care products in our online store, not just for your leather jacket, but for all your leather products, including the leather seat covers in your vehicles.
My Opting Out of the Sports Jacket for the US WINGS® A-2 Leather Flight Jacket
The reason why you see Indiana Jones wearing his Leather Jacket, as opposed to either a canvas field jacket or even a cloth sports jacket, is its resilience and durability of our leather jackets. Neither the canvas field jacket, nor the cloth sports jacket can hold up when riding a motorcycle and still arrive for a meeting or dinner with clients/friends. I wear the same A-2 Leather Flight Jacket while riding my INDIAN Scout Bobber 60 Motorcycle as I do in the cockpit and also to meet with clients/friends during the week.
If the situation calls for it, I keep an Oxford-red tie folded up in the front patch pocket of my A-2 Leather Flight Jacket for that professional look, when and IF needed. But I agreed with the late Coach Mike Leach, that ties should have gone the way of powder wigs.
If you’ve lived in Mississippi, there’s one thing that we always looked forward to, and that was the post-game interviews and press conferences with the late Coach Mike Leach, who developed The Air Raid Offense. You were never disappointed! You couldn’t get enough of Coach Leach’s famous philosophy, quotes, and his opinions during his post-game press conferences on everything, on and off the field. His press conferences and post-game interviews were well worth a pirate’s treasure. We lost Coach Mike Leach way too young, at age 61.
