Ukraine Courage, Resolve, and Resistance– Against The Russia’s Criminal Aggression to Reconstitute the Former Soviet Union formed Post WWII
I realize that I usually write articles on sports and fitness, but reviewing these past six- months have cause me to write about the freedom and liberty that every person in the world has a right to have and have a voice in their government without oppression.
The opening days of these crimes against humanity and against the Sovereignty and Independent Nation of Ukraine will be Putin’s Waterloo. The Russian Navy ship in the Black Sea that attacked the border guards on Snake Island was like a page out of history where history was made in a small crossroad town in Belgium, called Bastogne. This was where the 101st Airborne commander, General Anthony McAuliffe, on December 22, 1944, in reply to Germany’s demands for his surrender had just an ONE WORD reply to the German officer- ‘NUTS‘.
On February 24, 2022, a Russian Navy warship demanded that 13- border guards lay down their arms and surrender to avoid bloodshed. The border guards response was swift and quick with a two word response- F**** Yourself. The cowardly action of the Russian Navy war ship firing on the 13- border guards defending their country.
These brave border guards, may their bravery serve to harden the Ukraine people’s resolve to defend their freedom and liberty against Socialism regime. Something that we are dealing with now here in our own country. The insanity of Socialism since 1917 Socialism has failed.
This ‘NUTS’ has a Ring of the Bravery of Siege at Bastogne
I would like to describe this two word response by the border guards and compare it to the one word historical response by General Anthony McAuliffe at Bastogne of ‘NUTS‘. I hate to admit it, but the Ukraine border guards’ response was more to the point. I wish our politicians on the left and right had this same resolve for America as THE-13 had for their country.
Thirteen is a unique number, 13- colonies, 13- hours in Benghazi. 13- U.S. Military personnel killed in Afghanistan during an ill conceived withdraw. Our Democrats on the left has two problems ONE they treat Symptoms and not the problems; and SECOND the habit of leaving people out to defend themselves. I also had a dear friend killed in Mogadishu in October of 1993 better known as ‘Blackhawk‘ down under Clinton. What a total failure sending military units into a HOT ZONE with only light armor.
These former Warsaw Pact Countries have shown great resolve ever since Lech Walesa of Poland opposed the Soviet Union’s socialist communism policies that oppress the people of Poland ever since the end of World War II.
FIRE and FORGET, The FGM-148 Javelin Missile– It smells like VICTORY!
Biden should be supplying Ukraine with arms and especially with the FGM-148 Javelin Missile that can devastate your opponent’s tanks and aircraft. Nothing like taking out a tank or downing an aircraft that cost $35 million with a shoulder held weapon even in the face of a formable invading force of your homeland. FGM-148 Javelin Missile– It smells like VICTORY! People talk about the price tag of $175K per Javelin; but think about this, when you knock out tanks or knock down rotor wing or jet fighter aircraft that are valued at or above $30 million PLUS a piece with the crew that is a pretty good tradeoff in my book, especially taking out your enemy as well. That is a WIN-WIN!
Sniper’s Warfare
A Sniper skilled with a 0.50 cal or even a NATO 7.62 x 51 M-14 (0.308 Cal) rifle can have the same devastating effect of a company size unit. A sniper can totally demoralize an opponent. Snipers can keep your opponent hemmed down and unable to prosecute their mission. That is devastating, especially when out of nowhere your friend next to you is having lunch or just a conversation and they are eliminated with a head shot. This kind of warfare demoralizes the rest of the unit’s ability to function and being effective, because they don’t know where and if the next round has their name on it.
And when you have women in Kyiv picking up a very reliable and effective AK-47 fully automatic rifle to defend her country, you have serious issues for the invading Russian force. People talk about 200K plus of the Russian criminal armed force entering Kyiv defended by north of 2 million defenders that are resolved, you have some serious issues on your hands with urban guerilla warfare. Just asked those that served in Vietnam War about guerilla warfare.

No Rules of Engagement
To Polish, Czechs, and Hungarians citizens, you have tasted and felt how the boot of a Russian oppression feels on your neck after World War II. This is a great opportunity to return the favor to those Russians criminals and oppressors and take this opportunity to engage them without any Rule of Engagement being imposed helping the brave Ukrainians fighting for their freedom.
Amateur Hour at the White House
I hate to say it, but we have amateurs running the show in Washington. It is like President Theodore Roosevelt stated- Speak softly, but carry a big ass bat. What helped to initiate this invasion was our nation going from independent energy producer under President Trump to dependence on others under Biden, and those countries in Europe depending on Russians for their energy, that is the sheer definition of insanity. Even Hitler knew that energy was a vital part of his ability to continue the war. Energy is just as important to a nation’s security as their military is.
Biden reminds me of Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain negotiating with Hitler over annexing the Sudetenland in exchange for Peace in Our Time. You can’t negotiate with someone that doesn’t respect the sovereignty of others and is a criminal. Our leaders can’t understand this even after years of history showing evidence to the contrary. If Biden thought he could go toe-to-toe with Putin, Biden just got TKO!
What Biden did in his press conference about small skirmishes in Ukraine; reminds me of Truman remarks that he had no interest in the Korean Peninsula. This led to the Korean War that started on June 25, of 1950 until 1953.
The Battle of the Bulge
Going back to the Battle of the Bulge, there were two objectives by Hitler, one of which was to launched his winter offensive to gain needed fuel supplies at Antwerp. Our friends on the left aren’t very good students of history. If I recall, the price of a gallon of regular grade gas was $1.85 in 2020 under President Trump. Even before this war started the price was then north of $3.20 and now rising under Biden. Energy has a direct impact on the cost of living and inflation as we are aware. Hitler other objective was to split the Allies in the west and seek peace.
If you recall Clinton’s Presidential Campaign slogan was It’s the Economy Stupid, well now one could say It is the Economy Jack Ass.
My personal Analysis based on Historical Evidence
Like the Battle of the Bugle, General Eisenhower knew that the Battle of the Bugle exposed Hitler and jeopardized his efforts from defending Germany at the start of 1945. If we supply Ukraine with what they need to defend themselves against the Russian incursion with aircraft so that Ukraine can impose a NO FLY ZONE, this will expose Putin to being overthrown in Moscow and being prosecuted for crimes against humanity; The Russian people should rise up give Putin the same fate that Italians gave Benito Mussolini and his wife. And we could do this without us firing a shot.
Putin held a open rally for his war efforts in Ukraine; my question for the Russian people– NO ONE HAD A ROPE handy?
1973 Endangered Species Act
I would like to remind our Democrat friends on the left (I realize that I just used a double superlative) that their organization has been placed on the Endangered Species List and heading toward extinction. They are going off the cliff with their far left socialist communistic arm of their party. I whole heartily encourage them to keep marching! When you have Genghis Khan, John Kerry, who was more concerned about his Green Deal and hoping it wasn’t up-staged by the Invasion of Ukraine by Russia, you have a party that is out of touch with the American people. If things in the Democratic Party doesn’t change, that I don’t see them doing any time soon, they will become extinct, God’s welling.
If there is a political bloodletting after the midterms, the Democrats have themselves to blame and no one else. But if you think about it, I can’t think of one good thing that the Democrats has done in the past two centuries that made America better. The only one bill that was impactful was the Sonny Montgomery GI Bill that helped develop the Greatest Generation we have ever seen in modern times.
I would like to close with this, People of the Ukraine, we the American People stand with you!
NO FLY ZONE
One other thing that could help the Ukrainians efforts in defending their homeland would be to allow them to enforce a NO FLY ZONE, and see how our F-22 Raptor and our F-35 Lightning does against the Russian Air Force. See how well their ground troops do without air support. Air Support was one major part that crushed the Germans advancements during the Battle of the Bulge. We pray for a brighter day in Ukraine without a dictator like Putin in the world.
The Second Amendment
If anyone is wondering why the Founding Fathers included the 2nd Amendment into the Bill of Rights, Ukraine invasion by Russia should answer this question. One reason that our military was so effective during WWI and WWII was that our soldiers were very familiar with weaponry and accurate shooting. You don’t want to have to learn in a War Zone how to use your weapon and place rounds on target.■
