The Orange Bucket Challenge LINK Technique- How to Use Your Challenges in Drills to Develop an Instinctive Golf Swing on the Golf Course

I made an intro to introduce what I refer to as my Orange Bucket Challenge that allows the golfer to link with their natural instincts to take their golf swing from the batter’s box to the tee box. Below is my YouTube Video introducing The Orange Bucket Challenge that I made at Germantown High School Football Practice Field.

The Introduction to the Home Depot® Orange Bucket Challenge to help improve your golf game on the golf course where it counts. I’m using the AlmostGOLF Balls that I carry in my Online Store to hit golf shots on a football field that travel up to 100- yards but have the same flight characteristics as an actual golf ball.

During the Orange Bucket Challenge, I will be using special practice golf balls called AlmostGOLF® Balls. These AlmostGOLF® Balls behave just like an actual golf ball, but these AlmostGOLF® Balls only travel in feet, instead of yards, up to 100 yards. So the football practice field that I used was a perfect setup for this challenge using my driver. These AlmostGOLF® Balls can be purchased from THE QATSPY® Online Store and are perfect for the backyard or a local football field to get some practice in that will actually reflect what you will be experiencing on the golf course.

I can GUARANTEE One Thing About Practice VS Performance

If there is one absolute that I can give a golfer of any level, or handicap, an advantage this IS IT (Instinctive Technique)- When we work on our golf game on the range, field, or in the backyard, we are using our conscious mind to develop or perfect our sequential routine. But, I can guarantee the golfer this one thing, that when they step foot onto the golf course, they won’t be using their conscious mind to make their golf shot; they will be totally relying on their subconscious mind- GUARANTEE!

And our subconscious mind will be relying totally on fine motor skills that we developed before the age of 12. We have ONE SHOT, and ONE SHOT ONLY at developing these fine motor in our early childhood development and that is IT. This is why it is crucial to get kids into sports at an early age. There are NO DO OVERS HERE.

This is the very reason why we have athletes like Bobby Jones, Sr., Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Armor Palmer, Stephen Curry, Michael Jordan, Wade Boggs, Will Clark, and Chipper Jones, just to name a few outstanding athletes. At an early age, these athlete took advantage of their early childhood development and developed their fine motor skills.

It isn’t enough to just know WHAT to do, but WHY is just as important!

But, I have some Encouragement for My Readers, There is an APP for the Rest of Us to Use that can Give Us an Advantage

But I reveal in both my introduction above, and my training video using The Orange Bucket Challenge that we have an APP to help us work toward a single-digit handicap. This APP isn’t in the Apple Store that you can download to your I-Phone and use to improve your golf game.

The APP that I’m referring to is known as Apperception. So what is Apperception you might ask? Apperception is where we can take highly- developed motor skills, both fine and gross motor skills, from one sport, like baseball, and develop skills in another sport, like our golf game.

But there is only one way for us to access these highly developed motor skills, THE IT FACTOR,  and that is through our senses, like feel, vision, and sound. So, if you want to access these fine motor in your subconscious mind to play In-The-Zone, your practice has to simulate your performance on the golf course. This is where The Orange Bucket Challenge comes in handy.

Using a football technique, this is like using 7-on-7 football practice sessions in your golf practice to help set up a scrimmage-like game to link into your subconscious mind.

Here are three conditions that must be present to allow us to perform In-The-Zone using our subconscious mind:

  1. Normal, sequential routine tasks and conditions must exist.
  2. Rely on a high degree of relaxation, confidence, and muscle memory.
  3. The conscious and subconscious minds are focused on two different situations.

NOTE: Muscle Memory is referring to our fine motor skills.

You can’t THINK about your golf swing mechanics or techniques using swing thoughts; your golf game has to be instinctive to help you to be able to perform In-The-Zone.

Refer to what is the best piece of coaching advice from the movie Caddyshack– This was where Ty Webb- played by Chevy Chase mentioned to Danny Noonan- played by Michael O’Keefe)-

I’m going to give you a little advice. There’s a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.

There is another piece of advice from Yogi Berra- It’s like déjà vu all over again. Your subconscious mind has to have seen the course condition during your practice sessions to perform on the golf course. If not, all of those long hours spent working on the range or in the backyard just vanish, once you step foot onto the golf course. I’m sure this has never happened to you before.

Here’s Subconscious Rule No 9 that applies to your golf game:

The greater the conscious effort reduces the subconscious intuitive response, THE IT FACTOR.

On the golf course, you’re NOT going to perform based on what you thought during your practice session, OH NO, you’re going to perform based on your instincts what your subconscious mind links up with the golf course. So why not program your instincts directly into your golf game using The Orange Bucket Challenge?
