THE QATSPY AT-THE-TURN CAFE Fried Catfish Fundraiser for the Museum
The Catfish Luncheon will be Held this coming Saturday, June 13, 2020, from 11 am to 2 pm at the Vicksburg/Tallulah Airport, just off I-20 on Hwy 602, just west of the Mississippi I-20 River Bridge at Exit No. 173.
Directions: Take Hwy 602 North across the Railroad Tracks and Hwy 80 to the Vicksburg Tallulah Airport.

I’m a little partial to Southern-Style fried Catfish, ever since I worked in my granddad’s Bakery/cafe. I took the batter we used and worked with, collaborated with some Delta Catfish farmers to arrive at a batter that I think is the 5-Star catfish batter that gives the catfish that perfect, crispy taste with seven special blended spices. The batter that I use has been used for over 20- years now.
This Fried Catfish Luncheon Benefits the Southern Heritage Air Foundation Museum to Kick off their 2020 Seasonal Opening that will also include Plane Rides and a Rummage Sale.
THE QATSPY AT-THE-TURN CAFE will be frying their famous Mississippi Farm Raised Catfish as a fundraiser for the Southern Heritage Air Foundation Museum to help not only raise money for their normal operation, but also to raise interest and for this Air Museum where we can continue to educate the public about the importance of aviation, especially with their operational aircraft that includes the famous P-51 Mustang, shown below.
Saturday’s (June 13, 2020) Activities will include (Times are listed below):
- Rummage Sale (7am – 2pm)
- Free Tours of the Aviation Museum (7am – 2pm)
- People can purchase In-The-Cockpit Rides (9am – 2pm)
- Pick up plates of hot, fresh Catfish (11am – 2pm)
Each Plate that is picked up at the hangar includes: fried catfish, hushpuppies, french fries, baked beans, and Cole slaw)

The Southern Heritage Air Foundation holds events for the entire family, including to honor our Veterans. There is something for everyone, each and every month. Our Main mission is to educate individuals and groups of the importance that aviation and our Veterans play in guarding our Freedoms and Liberties that we enjoy today.
