One of the Highest Medals, The Purple Heart- August 07, Purple Heart Day, is set aside to Honor those who were Wounded/Killed in Combat

With the Olympics in Tokyo, Japan coming to a close, We are captivated by the medal count from each country participating. We all know that The Gold Medal is the highest medal that can be issued for an athlete’s performance. But there is a Purple medal, The Purple Heart, that is awarded for the highest sacrifice that a person can offer to our great country.

   

Just as we honor our Veterans on Veterans Day and those that gave their last full measure on Memorial Day, we set aside August 07th, to honor those that were either wounded and/or killed in a combat action and awarded the Purple Heart. The Purple Heart is the oldest medal that is still being issued to our U.S. Military.

As you go about your day today and through the coming days and months, tell those that you know that have received The Purple Heart ‘Thanks,’ first for their service and second for their sacrifice. This honor should extend to their family as well.

We, at THE QATSPY®, would like to offer you ways that a recipient or a loved one who has received a Purple Heart can be honored for their sacrifice. This extends to their family members as well. We can have a copy of your Purple Heart Certificate sewn onto the lining of our Leather Jackets, and/or we have a number of Purple Heart patches to choose from to be sewn onto the outer front panel of our Leather Jackets.
