This article discusses an interview that Ainsley Earhardt, Fox & Friends, did Thursday morning on April 17th, 2025 with a representative with Huntington Learning Centers. Huntington Learning Centers provide Supplemental Learning courses for children affected by the closures of schools in February of 2020.
Parents, getting your children involved in sports that are a great means to identify learning handicaps like vision and hearing and be able to correct them early on in early childhood development. I can testify to this personally.
A great book to incorporate Sports into Homeschooling curriculum in Paperback NOW on KINDLE– EXCALIBUR Athlete’s Forged Performance under my name!
Importance of Sports in Homeschooling– Athletics, Sports, Physical Fitness are essential in a Homeschool curriculum scholastic achievement. Excalibur offers kids in Homeschooling ability to achieve overall health, fitness, and wellbeing
Homeschooling is an excellent avenue for parents to offer their children an ability to have a highest quality curriculum and education that they have a part in for their kids scholastic development. One of the highest forms of learning is known as Autodidact that many successful people have used.
One of our most successful people to use Autodidact type learning was President Abraham Lincoln who was self-taught. In the early mid-1900’s, there was a form of homeschooling known as correspondence learning, or distance learning, at the college level. This developed some of our industry’s most successful leaders, especially what became known as the Greatest Generation.
The Increase in Supplemental Learning up by 35%
On Fox & Friends this morning, April 17, 2025, Ainsley Earhardt interviewed a lady from Huntington Learning Centers concerning the negative effect of schools closures due to COVID for two years. The children that were most affected by this closure ordered by Dr. Anthony Fauci were the children in the critical formative years, between first through third grade levels.
From this morning interview, Huntington has seeing a 35- percent increase in student enrollment for their supplemental learning courses. These supplemental learning courses are to address the negative impact of the 2 year closure of schools. More and more parents are opting for homeschooling that allows involves parents to be involved in their child curriculum.
The closures of schools also allowed parents find out the curriculum that schools are using that isn’t preparing their children for life skills. Parents were also found out that they are being excluded from having a voice in their child education that is evident from recent drop in education scores. The interview with the Huntington Learning Center representative highlighted important features that they offer in the case of supplementing Homeschool curriculum.
Parents have resources available like Huntington Learning Centers to provide an additional benefit of Homeschooling for their children. One of the options that Huntington Learning Centers provide parents and children is remote or online learning courses.
Earning my Degree from Remote Learning (Online Courses)
I finished and earned my Engineering Degree taking over 75 percent of my courses by correspondence courses. To me, correspondence education has offered me one of the most rewarding experiences ever. Homeschool students are able to enjoy and improve their understanding and retain more of what they have learned based on a higher level of retention and comprehension. If you learn on your own, you have a higher degree of application of skills.
The amount of experience that I gained from my correspondence courses has increased my confidence level on a personal level that can’t be matched from a traditional classroom setting. One reason is the amount of time that teachers in a classroom setting have with each student. The material in a homeschool setting is presented in an real life example-type application with answers to those examples to help the student’s understanding their work.
One major reason for the success of homeschooling is that both the parents and students are responsible for learn; and accountable for educational achievements.
The Importance of Physical Health to Education & Success
First and foremost, sports is a great means to identify deficiencies during early childrenhood development and to be able to correct those deficiencies before they negatively impact the child’s learning skills. Your child’s ability to learn is based on two of their five senses of Vision and Hearing. I know all too well about vision deficiencies, because I was legally blind up until I was eleven years old.
If it wasn’t for sports, fitness, and a Boy Scout leader that helped me to identify my vision deficiency, I would have had no opportunity at the life I have now. I was able to enjoy being a Grid Engineer for 35- years here in the Mississippi electric grid in transmission lines. This gave me an opportunity to work with some of the most talented people.
After my vision surgery to improve my vision to 20/20, the sports of baseball and golf gave me the confidence, balance, and ability to learn and excel that I would not have had.
There aren’t too many sports that are an individual-type sport except for the sport of golf. Golf can be played on a team level or on an individual level. Golf is an excellent way to develop skill and open doors in other careers. If you were homeschooled and scratch golfer, you will have an important advantage and key in obtaining scholarships and a successful career.
Importance of Health & Fitness
Another essential part of both kids and parents health is following a healthy diet and fitness program for their physical, mental, and spiritual health. Good health and fitness doesn’t require expensive or elaborate exercise equipment. Good health can be achieved with simple and basic yoga and calisthenics, especially for abdominal core strength that is important for overall health and balance.
In my EXCALIBUR Athlete’s Forged Performance book, which is now in paperback, I cover basic yoga and exercises using just mats, dumbbells and elastic tubing. Dumbbells and elastic tubing are safer option for working out than barbells are. Like me, I work out a lot of times by myself where I can simply drop my dumbbells if I get into a bind.
In the photograph above, I am 68 years old; I have followed my MACES Fitness Program, which is in Excalibur, since my mid-20’s. Parents of a homeschool student take one of the best options even for you by developing the best age-defying health and fitness. Stop looking for that magic elixir, because there isn’t anything more effective than eating a healthy diet, exercising, and having an active lifestyle.
I have another book entitled The SARSO Diet & Fitness Program:
Your muscles are your strength to not just look years younger, but just as important toned and actually look decades younger. When your muscles are worked with resistance training, your pituitary gland allows your muscles to release a natural growth hormone that contains collagen that replaces, repairs, and rejuvenates your cells in your muscles, joints, and especially in your skin at a higher rate.
This replacement, repairs, and rejuvenation process of the body’s cells slows down after our 40’s and stops after our 60’s unless you can develop strength training regimen for the muscular system. The muscles has the magic elixir you need to maintain an age-defying look and lifestyle.
This was highlighted in the book of Joshua 14:10……So here I am today, eighty-five (85) years old! (11) I am still as strong today as the day Moses sent me out; I’m just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then at age 40.
DO NOT EAT PAST 6 P.M.
The biggest thing that you can do in your diet is to NOT EAT PAST 6 P.M., because eating past 6 p.m. interferes with your body’s natural ability to replace, repair, and rejuvenate itself, and especially the health of your skin, not just by years but by decades.
EXCALIBUR Athlete’s Forged Performance provides parents of homeschool age children with a sport, training, and physical fitness curriculum to go along with their academic studies to help maintain their mind, body, and spiritual health. One sport that is covered in EXCALIBUR Athlete’s Forged Performance is golf.
I have several training videos, The Orange Bucket Challenge, posted below that show how effective this training is in the EXCALIBUR that can help your kids have an athletic program without having to purchase expensive equipment. And also, entry level clubs are inexpensive and some resale shops have great buys on used clubs.

WJTV-12 SPORTS ZONE, a Sunday night sports show on a local CBS TV station, contacted me about explaining and demonstrating my PALMER-PRO Golf Technique on the Sports Show. The sportscaster and the camera crew met me at a high school field one Saturday in June of 2021. I made three (3) videos that I did in one take using just one setup, because the reporter wanted to capture the entire flight of the 295- yard Tee Shot that I did five times. As appreciation for me doing these three videos, the production team made the following tape:
This promotion video was enhanced where the production team highlighted where the five (5) Tee Shots dropped within 15- feet of the Orange Bucket.
I would highly recommend you purchase the EXCALIBUR Athlete’s Forged Performance:

I just complete a paperback book on an elite Military Unite that is cast against actual historical event since 1993 and how this unit carried out their clandestine missions:
