THE QATSPY® & US WINGS® Now Feature the Hand-Painted Classic Vehicle Art on our US WINGS® Leather Flight Jackets

These US WINGS Leather Jackets that features these classic vehicles are provided to the U.S. Army with the A-2 style of the US WINGS Leather Jacket. You can buy your own Military Spec Jacket that the U.S. Military will be wearing, starting in 2020.

These US WINGS® Leather Jackets are the same leather jackets that are being provided to the U.S. Army, with the A-2 style of the US WINGS Leather Jacket. These A-2-Style Leather Jackets are worn by Army personnel in aviation, airborne operations, and recruiters. But you can buy your own Military Spec Jacket that the U.S. Military will be wearing to feature your classic vehicle that is hand-painted on the back panel of the leather jacket when you attend classic car shows, like Cruisin’ The Coast in Gulfport, Mississippi, in October, that I attend.

These make great leather jackets to wear, not only to show your love for classic vehicles, but to promote your military service, business, or organizational interest. This is a great service award or gift for yourself, a friend, and for customers to wear.

For those who are connected with the military and/or aviation, these hand-painted leather jackets are a great way to show your support for these important industries and their impact they have on our country. BE PROUD OF YOUR SERVICE- you can have a variety of vehicle artwork done that also includes military insignia and company logos, shown below. Nothing makes a better statement than a hand-painted Cape Buffalo Leather Jacket at car shows.

Remember, each jacket comes with its own spokesperson (YOU) that can provide a personal endorsement of your business or organization’s mission.

History of Nose Art

The B-17 Memphis Belle after renovation to put on display on Mud Island, Memphis TN.

Nose Art was an unofficial identification that was hand-painted onto the noses of U.S. Army Air Corps aircraft to ease the stress caused by bombing and escort missions over Germany and Japan. It later became a standard practice for crews to name and have images or characters hand-painted onto either side of the nose of their aircraft. This helped to make the aircraft an integral part of the crew’s identity and provide some sense of security.

In addition to providing the crew’s identity, nose art also provided the crew with confidence that their aircraft would take care of them on bombing and escort missions. Usually if the crew made 25 bombing missions, the crew was rotated out, as part of the maximum effort that was set by bombing command.

You can capture this same sense of identity and pride on our collection of leather jackets.
