Your Health and Fitness is All on the Line- How to take a Balanced Approach to Your New Year’s Resolution of Getting into Shape before February

I have worked line work for over 30- years and being in shape in my early to mid 20’s was a lot easier than when I approached my early 40’s. It didn’t matter how much I worked out in my gym, I still gained weight, about 45- pounds. One reason for the weight gain is that your metabolism slows down 10%, every 10- years past your 20’s.

I tried several diets that ended in failure, without seeing any results after three months. This sounds typical for most people. This is the very reason most people give up on their New Year’s Resolution by February to early March. I would like to give you an advantage that will allow you to get into shape within weeks and see results, just by using Nutrition Labels and a Weight Factor.

I developed a simple Diet called the ASCOT-DIET that allowed me to lose 35- pounds and over four-and-a-half inches in my waist in one month, during the month of December of 2014, of all months to diet. I chose the very worst time to diet, but I exceeded my expectations. I reached my goal within three months by losing 45 pounds and six-inches in my waist.

The good news is that I didn’t stop there, as I lost over 52- pounds in nine- months and eight- inches in my waist before I retired. The featured photograph is of me on the crossarm, a month before I retired. I was able to achieve three objectives, (1) retire at age 57, (2) start an online golf coaching business, (3) model my line of clothing that I carry in my online store, with a 29- inch waistline. Never could imagine that I would ever have a 29-inch waist. Or, I didn’t think that I would ever be able to model my apparel line at age 63, but I did, as noted below.

The ASCOT-DIET not only allows me to drop pounds and inches, but also drop the effects of years off my skin by the high fiber and high protein diet that promotes production of collagen in the skin to reduce wrinkles and spots. I’ll let you be the judge if you think the ASCOT-DIET is successful.

In the photograph below, I’m 63, when I was called back off retirement to work Hurricanes Laura and Delta in October of 2020. The Linemen I used to work with couldn’t believe the shape I was in, so on a dare, I took this photo without my shirt by the bulldozer.
