I’m modeling with ‘DOC’, my friend, one of my models that I use in my company’s health articles and for our line of authentic U.S. Military Leather Flight Jackets. This also INCLUDES the authentic Indiana Jones-Style Leather Jacket, like the one that was used in the Indiana Jones movies. The Indiana Jones Leather Jacket was based on the A-2 Leather Flight Jacket manufactured in 1931 for the U.S. ARMY AIR CORPS. These all are manufactured under one of the original manufacturers, COOPERS SPORTSWEAR, that is one of US WINGS Brands that is in our collections. At age 65, I depend on my health and fitness to be able to model, especially with young ladies in their 20’s.

TRUE-GRIT: Age-Defying Health & Fitness– That Provides a Dynamics Age-Defying Skin that can withstand the Scrutiny of the Camera Lens at age 65

If you want one of the most scrutinizing TRUE GRIT assessments of your health and fitness, do one or both of these- either pose for a fitness portraits with exposed abdominal area or do some modeling with ladies that are in their 20’s. Especially doing modeling for a guy that is in his mid-60’s, as that’s the sheer definition of a challenge. Below, I’m posing for the AB Challenge that can be done for a photo-finish result after you reached your health and fitness objectives, see my AB Challenge below.

The ground crew on January 07th, 2023, where temperatures were in the upper 60’s thankfully, challenged me to an AB Challenge. Especially after the Holidays when people normally would gain weight. I was under the impression that was why they were challenging me. But, there was another reason that I wasn’t aware of at the time, as there were five Girl Scout leaders and their troops touring the Museum and our hangar at the time.

In October of 2014, at age 57, I decided to start one of the most challenging endeavors that I’ve ever done, as I decided to start an aviation tactical, sportswear, and performance outfitter company, THE QATSPY®. This is a sportswear and performance outfitter company, where we carry the same flight jackets and flight suits that are supplied to the U.S. Military, including the Indiana Jones Leather Jacket that was used in the movie, and was worn by Harrison Ford.

The Indiana Jones Leather Jacket, shown below, was based on the U.S. ARMY AIR CORPS A-2 Leather Flight Jacket developed in June of 1931 that pilots and the Airborne units wore during WWII. This original design is still in use after 92 years. The A-2 Leather Flight Jacket and the Chino Khakis pants are part of the Quapaw Aviation Sportswear Collection that has that nostalgic, classic look that never goes out of style for business or casual wear.

The Indiana Jones-Style Leather Jacket and his classic Chino Khaki pants are part of The Quapaw Aviation Sportswear Collection called CAJON-Style (Chino pants, A-2 Jacket, and Oxford button-down shirt Nostalgic look).

This is the CAJON-Style, consisting of Chino khaki pants, A-2 Jacket, and Oxford button-down shirt for that Nostalgic-Style and look that never goes out of style, ever since 1989 when the U.S. ARMY wore khakis during the Spanish-American War and U.S. ARMY Air Corps and Airborne wore the A-2 Leather Jacket during WWII. The aircraft is the A-1 Husky, a great aircraft to learn on during flight lessons.

Just to make things just a little more interesting, I was also starting in June of 2015, going to start modeling my Quapaw Aviation Tactical Sportswear Collection and also produce training videos on fitness and golfing. Not an easy feat to accomplish in just 6- months to lose over 45- pounds and 7- inches in my waist between December 2014 and June 2015.

If you’ve ever tried to lose weight, then you’ve realized how difficult this feat is, especially if you don’t have the proper diet and fitness program to follow. I used the same diet and fitness program that I used during my 20’s and 30’s when I was in the best shape of my life; I just tweaked the DIET portion just a little. This was before I had 4-knee surgeries and a hip replacement that caused me to receive a medical discharge from the U.S. ARMY.

Why WHEN You Eat is Important to Your Health & Fitness, especially for Age-Defying Skin

I started modeling in June of 2015 on schedule after dropping 7- inches in my waistline and over 45 pounds in those same 7- months. But I dropped something that I wasn’t expecting to drop, as I dropped about 30 years off the appearance of my skin in those same 7-months. Now at age 65, in the featured and in a photoshoot, below. I have skin that I had in my mid-30’s at age 65. This past May of 2022, I found out why I had skin that I had in my mid-30’s while I was listening to the John Tesh radio show, Intelligence for Your Life, while on my KUBOTA tractor bush hogging.

My A-2 Leather Flight Jacket is my go-to sports jacket, that in the truest sense of the word, THE SPORT JACKET, because I wear my A-2 Jacket while riding my INDIAN Motorcycle or climb out of the cockpit, then turn right around and attend business meetings, or sporting events. Believe me, when you show up with our A-2 or G-1 Leather Flight Jacket at a business meeting or tailgating event, you’ll get noticed.

John Tesh read a research paper published by the Cleveland Clinic that stated that eating past 6 p.m. interfered with our body’s natural ability to repair and rejuvenate our skin at night while we are asleep. This is why it is important to not eat past 6 p.m., and to get between 6-to-8 hours of quality sleep each night.

John Tesh continued reading the research paper by the Cleveland Clinic that also cited a whole host of other health benefits of eating before 6 p.m., like lowering your- blood pressure, blood glucose levels, and total cholesterol readings. When you visit your doctor for a physical, you know these three (3) are on their list of vital numbers to check, along with your weight, the fourth vital stat. I call them the Grand Slam of a physical Stats. My doctor keeps saying that he can’t make any money off of me, due to my health and fitness.

Your weight or size of your waistline, blood pressure, blood glucose levels, and total cholesterol readings are the grand slam Stats of your health and wellness checkups at the doctor’s office. I have three (3) monitors at my home and a cloth tape that allows me to check on all four of these vitals Stats weekly. Health announcements that you hear on television and radio state- Know Your Numbers!

I’m 65 years old and NOT on any prescribed medication of any type or kind. My plans are to remain off any and all medication and allow my body to function the way God intended us to take care of our bodies by treating our bodies as a temple.

I prefer to measure my waistline with a cloth tape, that you see tailors use, as opposed to weighing in on scales, because there aren’t any discrepancies between scales or are there any inaccuracies. The cloth tape doesn’t have variations; and a cloth tape is very inexpensive. I purchased my cloth tape from Hobby Lobby. Below, is my Waistline Chart that I kept starting on November 28, 2014 and now on a weekly basis, I take measurements to show the effectiveness of THE DELPHI DIET & CAST FITNESS System every Sunday morning, even 8- years later.

The other factor of Your Health and Fitness is WHEN you eat

Your body functions based on Circadian Rhythms, just like your sleep patterns do that I mentioned previously. This Circadian Rhythm deals with how your body’s metabolizing your food that starts at 9 a.m., peaks at 2 p.m. and slows way down dramatically at 5 p.m. So this is why I have my meals between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., and I exercise at 3 p.m. to provide my body with the ability to capitalize on when my body metabolizes my food at its peak time.

The most difficult part of THE DELPHI DIET component is adjusting to having your last meal before 6 p.m. You will be able to make the adjustments to having your last meal before 6 p.m. within 10-to-12 days of starting. But that is a small compromise to make when you see your results within 4- weeks. I went from a 37.75- inch waist, down to a 33- inch waistline in those 4- weeks. Refer to my Waistline Chart, above, focus on November 28th and at December 31st, of 2014. Also note that this was right in the middle of the holiday season. This was a TRUE GRIT Test of THE DELPHI DIET & CAST FITNESS System.

The WHAT is the Turbocharged Component of my DELPHI DIET

If you wonder how to turbocharge your weight loss, this is the HOW, the WHAT factor! If the WHEN factor was the engine to metabolize my food at its most efficient time, then the WHAT factor is the turbocharger that turns your body into a calorie-burning juggernaut. The WHAT is based on taking nine (9)- data points from the standard Nutrition Label to determine the Health Index number, shown in the nutrition label, below, for Pinto Beans:

These are the 9- Data Points that I use to calculate the Health Index number for the foods that I eat that are at or below 3.25. Pinto Beans are considered the perfect food, with a Health Index of 2.75. I don’t know about my readers, but I would eat Pinto Beans way before I would eat insects! Ninety percent of my meals consist of Pinto Beans. I have a meat selection twice a week.

Just to get a rough assessment of the health status of your food selection, focus on Calories, Fiber, and Proteins, as these should be high and the sugar low. Once you established your Health Index (HI) for your typical menu items you know what those foods are at your local grocery store or even at your favorite restaurants.

The Photo Finish Evidence of THE DELPHI DIET & CAST FITNESS System

I regularly model my Quapaw Aviation Tactical sportswear, about 4-to-6 times a year, but occasionally I also do an AB Challenge just to show the effectiveness of THE DELPHI DIET & CAST FITNESS System. The WHAT Factor is foods that have a Health Index that is at or below 3.25. My Waistline Chart and my AB Challenge, shown above, are proof of how well THE DELPHI DIET & CAST FITNESS System works, based on WHAT and WHEN I eat my meals.

The CAST FITNESS Component

First of all, you don’t have to follow an Olympic fitness program to be effective in toning your muscles and skin. It isn’t the amount of weight that you lift, but the reps you can get in that provides you with results. Start slow and gradually build from what you can do. One great technique to build your stamina that I still use id to: Do 3- sets of 15 reps, with a 20-second rest period between sets.

Dumbbells (15, 25, 30, and 35 Lbs)

■  Exercise Tubing (10, 15, 25, 50, 100 Lbs)

■  Medicine Ball (15 and 20 Lbs)

■  Ab Roller

■  Punching Bag (80 Lbs) and gloves

■  Exercise Bike (Mountain and stationary)

■  Kickball

■  Box for a seat for rowing and Russian Twist

■  Exercise Mat

■  18-inch X 42 inch Plywood for leg lifts and bench presses

Your fitness workout can even be done in your home with simple and inexpensive equipment. Below shows me on the bag in my Home GYM with all the simple equipment that I workout with regularly, five (5) times a week, minimum. Even if you just have a door your have your gym that you can use elastic resistance tubing. Use the jam side instead of the hinge side to maintain safety.
