THE QATSPY® AT THE TURN CAFE Homemade Whole Wheat Rolls

If you do bake Whole Wheat bread or rolls, a convection oven is a must. I have the same Hobart Convection oven that we used in the bakery in my commercial kitchen.

The Salt in Our Daily Whole Wheat Bread is essential for both texture and taste. Salt is the one ingredient that isn’t prevalent NOW in Some Breads!

One of my favorite all time movies is Scent of a Woman with Al Pacino and Chris O’Donnell scene at the Oak Room. This was where Lieutenant Colonel Frank Slade described the rolls at the Oak Room to Charlie Simms. This indicates the essence that rolls have in restaurant business. You can make an entire meal off Whole Wheat Rolls and soup or salad, especially with a slice of Turkey with the roll and Dijon Mustard spread.

This scene was also the reason that I now carry my A-2 Leather Flight Jacket around with me with a pair of dress khakis and Button-Down Oxford shirt, with tie, and beefroll loafers especially traveling on business or leisure. Several years ago, I had a close friend pass away unexpectedly while traveling and didn’t have time to return home to pick up dress clothes. I’m particular on how my clothes fit and feel. I learned then to carry with me while traveling dress clothes for situations such as this.

I have eaten at several restaurants where rolls like the Oak Room are served and are a major center- piece of their business. I have developed a refined culinary taste for bread since I worked in my grandfather’s Kosher bakery for 12 years before going into the Military. The one ingredient that seems to be not be present in sufficient amount is salt in some restaurants rolls.

Salt is essential, not just for texture but taste also. Salt, like in most recipes, brings out the flavor of the other ingredients in the foods we enjoy eating. If there is an item that is lacking in breads and rolls that I have tasted, it is salt.

The other essential item in bread is whole wheat and yeast that makes breads the staple that it is. I still make Whole Wheat rolls for neighbors and clients that I work with in my business. I even special order 45 pounds of Whole Wheat Bran from a mill in Pennsylvania.

Comparing my recipe with others, I put significantly more salt and yeast in my batches. One other thing that is key, is temperature of the water. It’s like Goldy Locks, it has to be just right temperature. A baking thermometer is essential when making bread as well.

We especially enjoy having whole wheat rolls with salads and soups we have during the week. The reason I bake my own rolls is that these have a low Weight Factor of 3.11 as a part of my 925-MET Diet Plan. This 925-MET Diet Plan is FREE of Charge due to the Obesity issue that we have in the United States.

I lost 52- pounds, while still having my whole wheat rolls for lunch and/or dinner. My best meal is pinto beans with my whole wheat rolls, very simple, but very healthy. I have to be conscious of what I eat, because of weight gain that I’m highly susceptible to, and I still want to model my line of clothing. Health and Fitness is All about Your Numbers

The Weight Factor can be calculated from the Nutrition Labels from products and off restaurant’s websites. Just remember, nutrition accounts for 80% of your ability to lose weight and keep weight off and remain healthy. Also pay close attention to serving size that the nutrition factors are based on.

Take Potato Chips for instance, serving size is fifteen (15) chips, like the advertisement states- Who can only eat one of them? Potato Chips have one of the worst or highest Weight Factors, referring to as being high, over 7, and Men’s Fitness Magazine stated that Potato Chips are one of the worst foods you can eat.

You want to keep 90% of your menu items for each meal at or below 3.25, and 10% below 5.75 and only eat between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The 10% represents incentive meals items to satisfy the subconscious mind’s cravings. This is the very reason most diet fail it doesn’t address the person’s subconscious mind.

I lost 52- pounds when I was 58 years old on my 925-MET Diet Program within 9-months, and I have the numbers to prove it in the photograph below taken in June of 2020 at age 63.

I’m 63 years old at the time of this photograph with the blood pressure that I now have. I don’t take any prescribed medications due to my 925-MET Diet and my CASPER Fitness Program. Just remember 80% of your health/fitness is due to your nutrition.

The Weight Factor finds what I refer to as the hidden sugars, which are starches. Starches and eating after 6 p.m. are the two main causes for obesity we have in the United States. NOTE: After 5 p.m. that body slows down metabolizing food into energy.
