THE QATSPY® Pilot’s Flight Jacket, New Normal, in both Charter and Commercial Aviation for Providing a High Level of Protection and Security

The A-2 Leather Flight Jacket is an excellent apparel item for the Aviation Industry to consider as they get back up and operating. As the Aviation Industry makes the necessary adjustments in how their passengers will book flights and fly to their destination, wearing mask, consideration should be given to the apparel that aircrew will be wearing in this new environment.

The standard cloth and wool-blend blazers and sports jackets that are excellent breeding grounds and spreading for viruses and bacteria these jackets need to be examined from a standpoint of sensitization. The existing man-made frabrics and wool-blend blazers and sports jackets that pilots and aircrew were wearing in the past has to be professionally dry cleaned to be sanitized. This can’t be done during or after each flight by the crew because of time restraints.

At best, the blazers and sport jackets can be dry cleaned after each week’s use. We know that the COVID-19 virus can live for days, embedded in the fibers of blazers and sports jackets. A measure that the aircrew can take NOW is to hang up their jackets in fresh air and UV light for a minimum of 2-hours, which can kill viruses and bacteria. But this is impractical during flights.

However, our A-2 Leather Flight Jacket can simply be sanitized with a standard solution of dish detergent (1 teaspoon) added to water (8 oz.) mixture, just by wiping down the A-2 Leather Flight Jacket with a simple cloth or paper towel with this solution, this can be done during the flight and stops.

This offers pilots and aircrews a tremendous advantage and peace of mind, not just for the aircrews health, but also their passengers’ health. The crew members wearing THE QATSPY US WINGS A-2 Leather Flight Jacket can eliminate a possible source of exposures for passengers and themselves with THE QATSPY A-2 Leather Flight Jacket. It is also hard for viruses and bacteria to adhere to the A-2 Leather Flight Jacket.

The Origins of the Development of the A-2 Leather Flight Jacket from the A-1

During the first World War, the U.S. Military’s was succumbing to the effects of the Spanish Flu of 1917 and 1918. The pilots who didn’t die from the Spanish Flu were grounded for weeks and were in sickbays across Europe. Pilots are too highly trained to lose them to the effects of the Spanish Flu then.

In the early part of the 1930’s, the U.S. Military took the standard-issue A-1 Leather Flight Jacket and redesigned it. The U.S. Military replaced the button-up front with a zipper and flap with a collar clasp that also included the elastic cuffs and waistband with a one-piece back panel.

The Spanish Flu Pandemic changed the iconic leather flight jacket forever, shown above with the A-2 Leather Flight Jacket. The Airline Industry can take the same approach of providing the A-2 Leather Flight Jacket now to their personnel as they are gearing up for operations. The A-2 Leather Flight Jacket can provide an additional layer of protection from the COVID-19 Pandemic for the aircrew. And we can place Airlines logos and company names on the jacket per their spec.

From a Marketing Strategy, You Can’t Beat the A-2 Flight Jacket

We can hand-painting logos, or sew-on cloth patches and insignia onto the A-2 Leather Flight Jackets that was started during World War II. Who can forget the first TOPGUN movie with Maverick (Tom Cruise) who wore his Leather Flight Jacket? Nothing can grab the attention better than an A-2 Leather Flight Jacket with insignia over the decades.

I even wear my A-2 Leather Flight Jacket on every business or leisure trip that I go on from time-to-time. I have actually moth-balled my wool-blend sports jackets forever. I have several A-2 Leather Flight Jackets for a variety of occasions, from a plain Jane, to my 2nd Amendment Jacket, to my company’s logo and name with my name and military insignia, both are shown below. When I fly to attend corporate meetings, I wear my THE QATSPY® A-2 Leather Jacket to represent my golf instructional training to corporations as a business strategy.

One word of caution, If you wear your US WINGS® A-2 Leather Flight Jacket in public while flying or traveling for business or leisure, just have plenty of business cards or postcards on you to hand out. The US WINGS® A-2 Leather Flight Jacket is better than a neon sign or a bullhorn to attract attention to your business or cause.

Every time I travel, either by plane, vehicle, or on the open road, I’m stopped by people, after asking about my business, have to feel the jacket. It a show stopper anywhere and everywhere that I travel. I use the same A-2 Leather Flight Jacket to attend business and social events and wear while riding my Harley-Davidson Motorcycle; it’s my go-to Biker’s Jacket.

Featured below is our 2nd Amendment A-2 Leather Flight Jacket that I design:

THE QATSPY 2nd Amendment and my company logo A-2 Leather Flight Jackets that we wear traveling around the country.

THE QATSPY® US WINGS® A-2 Leather Flight Jacket is the same leather flight jacket that we issue to the U.S. Military. Our A-2 Leather Jacket meets all specifications that the U.S. Military established in the early 1930’s.

The A-2 Leather Flight Jacket can offer the same professional image for pilots and aircrew as the blazer or sport jacket, but with an additional level of protection and security for flight personnel.
