Even though our cafe operations are down to takeout only doesn’t mean we can’t share our Saturday’s Blue Plate Special with our readers. One of our key seasoning ingredients that we use in most of our dishes is from my hometown, Harrison, Arkansas, Home of Cavender’s Greek Seasoning.
We use Cavender’s Greek Seasoning, not only on our grilled meats, but on our vegetables and specially salads. Cavender’s Greek Seasoning is one of our quintessential seasonings in preparing our dishes that include chicken, beef, and fish. We especially use Cavender’s Greek Seasoning in our marinating for our hamburgers and steaks. We only use grass-fed Black Angus beef for our steaks and hamburgers. It has the perfect moisture content without being greasy.
The Grilling Process of Our Special Cavender’s Hickory Hamburgers
Even during the grilling process of our famous hickory hamburgers, we use Cavender’s Greek Seasoning. It doesn’t dry out the beef patties and it provides that special grilled flavor. Our French fries are fried in Canola Oil and our Blue Plate Special is served with a side of slow-cooked Baked Beans and as always, Luzianne Iced Tea.
We buy Cavender’s Greek Seasoning by the 5- pound bucket size, due to our daily use of this ingredient in our food preparation.
