Jordan Rodgers’ Analysis of the Quarterback’s Mechanics

Jordan Rodgers, an ESPN Color Commentator, was analyzing the Arkansas Quarterback, Nick Starkel’s,  passing mechanics. Jordon made the comment that Starkel’s left foot and knee weren’t pointed in the direction of his throw. Starkel was having issues completing his passes in the game with Kentucky.

What Jordan Rodgers was pointing out, in regard to the mechanics of Starkel in his passing techniques in Football, that techniques equally apply to the mechanics in the golfer’s swing.

One key, in regard to a golfer’s mechanics and techniques, is that they have to be instinctive in order for the golfer to perform on the golf course with consistency. The golfer may very well practice using their conscious mind, but once the golfer steps foot onto the golf course, I can guarantee that the golfer will be using his/her subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is where the golfer’s instinctive motor-skills that they will be relying on extensively are located.

If your golf swing isn’t a part of your subconscious mind, the golfer will not be using it on the golf course, where it counts.

Golf is About Doing a Few Small Things Well, like Syncing and Presetting

Like Ray Lewis stated, Greatness is a lot of small things done well! But fortunately for the golfer, having a great golf swing is dependent only on a few things done well. If the golfer can sync and preset their wrists properly and get a proper handle on their golf swing, they will be hitting 80 percent of the fairways and greens in regulation.

Golf isn’t about perfection, but about the percentages of applied analytics. The QATR-408- The Boxing CHAMPS Technique (the Wrist Action in the Golf Swing)is based on mechanics and techniques of syncing and presetting the golfer’s wrists and elbows, where 80 percent of the golfer’s swing is completed. There’s nothing else to perform, except for taking the handle of the club to the top of the golf swing.

This was a technique that Arnold Palmer gave to President Eisenhower before a Pro-AM, concerning the technique of syncing his right elbow with his right side. If the golfer has ever thrown a baseball before, then they’ve got both the techniques and the mechanics to become more consistent in their golf  game.

I produced two (2) YouTube Videos that covers the mechanics and techniques in ESPY Golf Swing. One is the Bunt-Type Chip/Pitch shot and the other is the RAP-Type Pitch Shot. These are two of the most difficult golf shots to make in golf.

What makes these two types golf shots significant to the golfer is that they are finesse type shots and both use the exact same mechanics and techniques the golfer will us to go from TEE-to-GREEN. But the golfer doesn’t have to have a driving range to practice these two golf shots. Anywhere the golfer practice their putting, they can practice their golf swing. Just have a backstop to catch those wayward shots;
