My featured photograph above reveals the link between two American icons, the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle and the Leather Jacket. Bikers depended on the protection of their A-2 leather jacket to protect them from the elements and the condition of the open road that started in the mid- 40’s.

The reissuing of the Classic A-2 Leather Flight Jacket by the U.S. Army was predicted by the number ONE recruiter in 1970, Sgt. Hack, the owner of US WINGS®. Now 50- years since the last WW-2 style A-2 Leather Flight Jacket was issued, this classic is being reissued, starting in April of 2020, just in time before the TOP GUN 2 Movie is scheduled to be released.
