Why the 2nd Amendment A-2 U.S. Military Flight Jacket is Important to YOU TODAY!

This is my M-14 Scout Rifle (0.308 Winchester, or 7.62 x 51 mm, Caliber round) with a 12 Power Scope, bi-pod, and 20-round magazine clip.

A little history about the M-14 Springfield Armory® Rifle featured on the 2nd Amendment Patch:

The M-14 Rifle was based on the M-1 Garand Rifle (30-06 or 7.62 x 63 mm) that had a 8-round capacity internal magazine gas operated with an effective firing range of 500 yards. After World War Two, where the M-1 was mainly used, the M-1 Garand was modernized to the M-1A or the M-14 that chambered the NATO round 7.62 x 51 mm that had a 20-round detachable magazine issued in 1959 and also in the Vietnam War. The M-14 is designated as the Marksman Rifle and is still in use by the United States Military today. The history behind these two rifles and the Model 1911 pistol was the reason I designed this patch with these three arms.

You can still purchase either the M-1 Garand Rifle and the M-14 Rifle from your local licensed gun dealer including the Model 1911 Pistol. Each of these comes in various models that the U.S. Military either has used or are using.

Show Your Support for the Origins of the 2nd Amendment

This U.S. Military Spec. A-2 Cape Buffalo Flight Jacket is a great way to show your support for our 2nd Amendment right as an American citizen, of the Right to Bear Arms. This right was written in light of the Revolutionary War (1775-1783), where ordinary citizens used their own arms to become Minutemen. In addition to the regular militia that was formed by Centennial Congress under the command of General George Washington in 1775. The U.S. Army was formed on June 14, followed by the Navy on October 13, and U.S. Marines on November 10 of 1775. The 2nd Amendment was needed for local colonialists to protect and safeguard their person, property, and community, much like we need now.

We still need Minutemen and women today to safe guard our Houses of Worship, Schools, and especially homes and where we gather and assemble, these rights that are given under the 1st Amendment. What happen in Florida with the Republican Voters Registration group where a criminal used his vehicle to plow through the group, fortunately no one was severely injured or killed. If someone with this group was trained in the use of a handgun and had a handgun on their person, that person could have protected themselves and possibly prevented this terroristic act. What even more amazing is what like coverage this got in the media or by our Democratic friends on the left. The only media group that covered this terrorist act extensively was FOX NEWS. Now we know why the Democrats want to abolish the 2nd Amendment.

This situation was the exact reason the Framers of the Constitution wanted the 2nd Amendment to be part of the Bill of Rights. We have to have the right to protect ourselves to safe guard our rights, especially the 1st Amendment.

James Madison (who helped in writing The Federalist Papers with Alexander Hamilton and John Jay, particularly Federalist Paper No. 29), the Father of the Bill of Rights, James Madison, witnessed the Boston Massacre (March 1770) and saw the importance for civilians to have the right to bear arms. These Bill of Rights were submitted to the states for ratification on September 25, 1789. The Revolutionary War just ended six years earlier. The Revolutionary War wasn’t the last time citizens were called upon to defend our country, as in The War of 1812, where citizens fought side-by-side the militia under the command of General Andrew Jackson in The Battle of New Orleans.

The defense of the Alamo occurred in March 1836, when notables like Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie travel to San Antonio, Texas to fight with Sam Houston.

To read more about these two (2) American Historical events that change our country, go to Brian Kilmeade’s books, these are great books:

The Importance of Armed Civilians

Even in recent history when Germany invaded France in May of 1940, the French Underground was a vital part of the Allies’ strategy in winning the war. The French Underground didn’t just mount resistance to the German occupation, but the French Underground also collected troop movements and typographical information leading up to the D-Day Invasion. These Underground Units of the French Resistance carried weapons supplied to them by the Allies’ air drops. They also help airmen get back to their lines. My Boy Scout Leader was one of these fortunate airmen to be escorted back to their lines.
