Eighty Percent of your health is Nutrition, and only 20 percent is your sweat equity that you put into your fitness program and lifestyle

Eighty Percent (80%) of your health is Nutrition and only 20 percent (20%) is your sweat equity that you put into your fitness program and your lifestyle. This is actually to your advantage. Your sweat equity that you put into your Fitness is based on the CASPER Model. This is important to maintain your health and independence, based on developing your endurance.

If the COVID-19 proved one thing, it is how important your Health is based on Nutrition, Fitness, and Lifestyle (HNFL) are to your health and survival. I refer to this health approach as my HNFL criteria. If you are over 45, it is critical that you start getting serious about your health and weight that has a tremendous impact on your ability to enjoy your life, especially as we age. I like to see the show of hands of people that once you reach retirement age you want to be able to enjoy your life in what you want to do, instead of doing what you have to do NOW!

To make a fitness program sustainable, it has to have four (4) elements. Your fitness program has to be Beneficial, Convenient, Accessible, and Rewarding, or BCAR Factor. If not, the average person will not continue their workout program.

While some view their nutrition and fitness components as their Mission Impossible, it doesn’t have to be your Mission Impossible to accomplish your HNFL. It’s actually easier than some might think. It’s like everything else in life; it is all about how you approach your Health, Nutrition, Fitness, and your Lifestyle (HNFL) that matters. I proved that you can accomplish this, even at age 62. That is another side benefit of the HNFL program, as you can actually defy your age while you are fighting off illness and diseases.

In the featured photograph, above, I’m 62 years old and still play golf, and I walk the golf course that represents 9.2 miles, four times a week, and perform my fitness regimen five times a week. My fitness regimen is based on Cardiovascular, Aerobic, Strength, Pilates Exercise Regimen, or CASPER Fitness Program. I have attached part I and II of my FREE YouTube Videos of the CASPER Fitness Programs below, in the next section. What is great about the CASPER Fitness Program is that you can do all or part of these exercises, based on your schedule.

What is nice about how I developed my CASPER Fitness Program is that a person can regulate the intensity of their workout, based on weight and duration. If you want a light workout, use lighter weights (dumbbells or tubing) and reduce the number of reps and just perform one set of each element.

For heavier workouts, you can use heavier weights (dumbbells and tubing) and perform 10 reps, but increase the number of sets to two or more. To increase your endurance with the increased sets, have a 10-second rest period between sets. You’ll be surprised at the endurance you’ll develop. I usually perform 10 reps of each element over three sets, for a total of 30 reps. My normal CASPER Workout Program takes me approximately one hour and 20 minutes to perform.

Setting Up Your Basic Home Gym

My basic Home Gym Equipment that I use in my CASPER Fitness Program

If you want an investment that has a 600% return on your money and sweat equity, set up your own Home Gym, similar to what I have done, above. It doesn’t take a tremendous space or amount of equipment to set up your own Home Gym. And it doesn’t have to be fancy or elegant to be effective. Last year, I remodeled the space over my golf training facility to become my new Home Gym.

The photograph above is all the exercise equipment I have. You can start small, with just tubing, before adding the additional equipment. I would highly recommend that you purchase a punching bag at some point. A punching bag workout is a full-body workout. The exercise bicycle is optional, if you walk or jog.

The Other 80 Percent of Your Health is Nutrition

When I did my first golf video, I knew I needed to lose some weight before I got serious about making my THE QATSPY golf videos. The camera adds about five to ten pounds to you, but what I was seeing was more like 25 pounds. I needed to lose weight within six weeks of starting my video production. I had about 35 pounds to lose. Like most people, I tried numerous diets that were unsuccessful. I needed something that worked and FAST!

I recall years before my hip replacement surgery that exercises and especially playing golf I was at my ideal weight. I had a job at that period of time that allowed me to have a flexible work schedule of working from 7 AM to 3:30 PM. That allowed me to get home and exercise before eating before 5 PM. The weight I did have seemed to melt off. I chalked it up to my exercise regimen. But, in reality, it was due to actually eating between 9 AM and 5 PM, or the 8-Hour Diet, based on your Circadian Rhythms.

So I went back to eating between 9-2-5, but I decided to turbocharge my weight loss by adding what I call a Weight Factor (WF) that I use to evaluate my food that I eat, shown below. I kept 90% of all my food intake below a Weight Factor of 3.25. I started this a day after Thanksgiving in 2014, and by the end of January of 2015, I lost over 36 pounds. But that was just the start of the weight loss, by September of 2015, I lost an additional 16 pounds for a total of 52 pounds and over eight inches in my waist.

I have included the instructions and directions to what I call the KOSHER 925-MET Diet Program, where I lost 52 pounds over a nine-month period, and it is easy to follow, and is FREE until July 31, 2020.

Now I don’t mind doing my golf and fitness training videos or modeling my line of clothing, especially my line of US WINGS® A-2 Leather Flight Jackets that I wear in lieu of my sports jacket, that I have mothballed. The US WINGS® A-2 Leather Flight Jacket is more versatile than a wool-blend sports jacket ever was. I can wear the US WINGS® A-2 Flight Jacket on the open road or into the open skies and not even change my attire.

I even wear my US WINGS® A-2 Leather Flight Jacket to corporate meetings when representing my company, THE QATSPY® in presenting my golf and fitness program. My typical morning breakfast at 9 AM consist of a Whole Wheat Bran Milled ROULEAU with Egg and American Cheese. I bake whole wheat Rouleau (Rolls) every morning with a cup of Hazelnut coffee. The egg and the whole wheat Rouleau is a tradition I have carried on for decades. The Whole Wheat Rouleau is based on a 200 year old recipe my grandparents brought with them from the old country (France). My grandfather started a bakery where I worked for years.
