Creating a Model for Your Health & Fitness– If a Picture is Worth a Thousand Words; Than Photo of Your Health/Fitness is Worth Million Dollars
I contribute my ability to start and to develop my fitness and sportswear company, The Quapaw Athletic Tactical Sports Performance Yarak, to my ability to achieve my level of health, fitness, and performance, even at the age 64, shown in the featured photograph, above. The term Yarak is a significant aviation term that refers to good flying conditions. As any professional photographer will tell you that good conditions are essential for a photo shoot just like flying. I prefer partly cloudy conditions with low humidity. Even humidity can affect the quality of your photo shoot.
A major part of my business is photography where I use young ladies that work with me to model our sportswear that includes our authentic U.S. Military issued flight jackets. At the start in June of 2015, I had no intention of coming from behind the camera to being in front of the camera, especially at my age of 64, until I started seeing some unexpected results from my DELPHI DIET & FITNESS System in mid 2015.
There are three components to The DELPHI DIET & FITNESS System that allows you to use a Diet, Exercise, and Lifestyle to not only drop Lbs. and inches, but more importantly, to drop years for the appearance of your skin. In addition to dropping 52- Lbs. and 8.75- inches in my waistline, I also dropped about three (3) decades off the appearance of my skin with this diet and fitness. This was totally unexpected.
I offer my feature photograph, above, in as evidence for The DELPHI DIET & FITNESS System. The DIET component is your key component in that it provides the WHEN and WHAT you can eat to turn your body into a turbocharged calorie-Burning juggernaut. The WHEN is based on your natural digestion Circadian Rhythms of eating between 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. with 2 p.m. being your maximum burn time of calories. This is the European style of eating, of having your biggest meal at lunch time that provides you with the best opportunity to burn calories and to lose weight.
Below is the example of my three (3) meals I have each day:
Breakfast– I have what pilots call NABS that are Nekot Lance whole wheat peanut butter Crackers:
Lunch– My main meal that includes two proteins, a meat and my pinto beans with whole wheat roll, that I baked. I used to work in my grandfather’s bakery where these were our specialty:
Dinner– Usually a Salad
The DIET Component
The WHAT is simply being able to read Nutrition Labels on food products or off websites of your favorite restaurants and determine a Health Index Factor based on 7 components. This Health Index (HI) is the center piece of The DELPHI DIET that is your key weapon in losing weight. The HI Factor allows you to select menu items that are high in Protein, Fiber, and Omega-3’s; but low in sugars and the hidden sugars, your starches. You will find Starches are the real culprit in people’s weight issues. Your Diet of WHEN and WHAT is 80 percent of your health and fitness.
I would like to enter in as my second piece of evidence- my Waistline Chart that I started on November 28th, 2014 where I had a waistline of 37.75- inches and by February 27, 2015, I reached my goal of 31.75- inches. But as evident, I didn’t stopped there, I lost down to 28.50- inches where I’m at NOW:
On occasion, I can eat after 5 p.m. in social situations with friends, but not past 7 p.m. Eating before 5 p.m. is what has the biggest impact on the age-defying condition of your skin. Eating past 7 p.m. delays your body’s natural ability to take your protein and fiber that you have during your meals and to process and use them to repair and rejuvenate your skin. IF you can work with your body’s natural Circadian Rhythms, you can experience better skin condition that is simply age-defying. The age-defying condition of my skin was something that I was quite surprise to see occur, but pleased to have.
WHAT and WHEN I eat is what I contribute to the health and fitness and my skin condition at age 64, and soon to be 65.

The EXERCISE Component
My exercise is based on CAST– Cardio-Aerobics Strength Training. A lot of people my age concentrate on cardio and aerobics and don’t include strength training. This is the worst course of action you can take for women or men, especially over the age of 40. Here’s why– If you don’t challenge your muscles with strength training, your brain will signal the muscle to reduce its strength and muscle mass. You can ill afford to lose either muscle strength or muscle mass over the age of 40. Lack of muscle strength contribute to a person’s aging process more than any other single factor.
Believe me, you can’t get to my age and be in my condition if you lose either your muscle strength or muscle mass. This is a major part of your age-defying conditioning of your skin that is based on your strength of your muscular system. Not to mention balance and flexibility that reduces as you age. I’m shown below in my Home GYM with all the exercise equipment that I workout with. It is pretty basic equipment that isn’t expensive. To start training you can use elastic tubing that is half my strength training presently.
I workout 5 to 6 days per week starting off with yoga for flexibility and balance, before going to strength training and wrapping up with my cardio-aerobic workout. My cardio-aerobic workout starts off on the bag than to my exercise bicycle. Keep in mind, to have an effective cardio-aerobic workout session, you have to get your heart rate up to your Target Heart Rate (THR), or beats per Minute (bpm) for at least 15-minutes. I hear people state that they can’t lose weight riding their bicycle. I reply this isn’t a pleasure ride but pushing yourself.
THR= (220-your age) x 0.85 =
Example my THR= (220-64) x 0.85= 132,6 or 133 bpm
Between my bag workout and bicycling, I can peak out at about 155 bpm for 20 minutes. This is NO pleasure ride.
Strength Training is also great for the mind as well as the heart and soul. Sweating is the best thing you can do for your complexion. My GYM isn’t air conditioned or heated. So temperatures during the summer months can reach a temperature of 112 degrees (F) where I workout for 45 minutes. I go through 2 towels just wiping the sweat off.
LIFESTYLE PERFORMANCE Component
Regardless of your age, besides including yoga, strength training, and cardio-aerobic training, also include a sport and keeping yourself active in some type of work like a hobby, if you retired. Always have a schedule of events for everyday to keep your mind alert. My hobby is welding and wood working. I used to build homes. My golf is my sport that I coach as well and play 4 times a week walking the course. Below are some of my golf training videos:

As appreciation for me doing this 3-part video series, the WJTV-12 production team put together a Television promotional that they ran and that I could use in my golf training business.

The abdominal area is the toughest area to show off the true results of your diet and fitness just not losing the weight but toning your AB muscles also.
