Keep active and follow a Health and Fitness Program to fight and prevent Alzheimer’s Disease.

At the Heart of Preventing Alzheimer’s- One of the Main Courses of Action that We can Take to Prevent Alzheimer’s is Our Heart Health

Last night on the 10 O’clock News on WJTV-12 Television Station here in Jackson, Mississippi, Blake Levine, a news/sportscaster, wrapped up a four-day focus on the prevention of Alzheimer’s. What he provided in his broadcast should give all of us encouragement that we can take measures now to prevent this dreadful disease that affects 6 million Americans and their families.

But what was significant about Blake Levine’s report on Alzheimer’s is this. We are at the heart of preventing this devastating disease ourselves. The prevention goes back to the philosophy that states– What’s good for the heart is good for the brain. You have to consider your heart and your brain like any of the other 640 muscles in your body. You have to exercise it to keep it healthy, effective and efficient.

Your mental and physical health goes straight to the heart of the issue, your heart health, and it is never too early or too late to start a heart health and fitness program. But the key is the sooner you start, the better the outcome, 12-years old isn’t too soon. Think about your health and fitness like a 401(k) plan at work. The sooner and more often that you contribute to your 401(k) Program, the better the results you will see, not just later, but NOW!

Keeping Track of your Waistline and Your Numbers to Prevent Alzheimer’s

The biggest factors that you can do to prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s is your waistline, blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood glucose numbers. I take my blood pressure every day and my cholesterol and glucose readings once every other month. An ideal waistline is one that is less than one-half your height, or greater than a factor of 2, by dividing your height in inches by your waistline in inches. For example, my estimated BMI is 64/28.5= 2.245. If you’re asking, I have never been recruited for a basketball team before.

This is my blood pressure at age 64 without having to take any prescribed medication of any kind.

Your Best Approach to Heart Health

Your exercise is only about 20 percent of your ability to achieve your heart health, the other 80 percent is based on your diet. My diet is based on foods that have a low Weight Factor Number, indicating foods that are high in fiber and protein, but low in sugars and the hidden sugars, that are your starches. You have to watch starches, just like your glucose (manufactured sugars) number. I lost 52- pounds and over 8.50 inches in my waistline by following the Weight Factor Number approach to dieting. The below photograph is proof positive that the Weight Factor Number Diet works, even at age 64.

Now for Your 20 Percent, Your Fitness

Now for the 20 percent, your exercise and keeping active. If exercise came in a pill form, everyone would be taking it especially in looking younger. Drugstores couldn’t keep the shelves stocked with this miracle pill. But, in actuality, your exercise program is cheaper and more accessible than taking a pill without side effects that most prescription drugs has. I built a home gym in the area over my golf training facilities, where I work out for 45-minutes each day, 5 times a week. This photograph was taken on 19May2021.

This is my GYM that I built over my golf training facility where I workout 5 times a week following my ASCOT- DIET & FITNESS Program that has allowed me to drop pounds, inches, and years at age 64.

My gym doesn’t have any elaborate equipment, as shown above, just dumbbells, exercise tubing, AB roller, punch bag, and an exercise bicycle. With my Weight Factor diet, health, and fitness program, I was able to drop more than just inches off my waistline, I was able to drop years off my appearance. In the photograph where I’m in our hangar, I’m on my INDIAN Scout Motorcycle taken at age 64.

To help you achieve your diet, health, and fitness goals, develop an incentive. My incentive was starting my sports, training, fitness, apparel, and modeling business at age 57 when I retired from line work. Looking and feeling better should be a major part of any health and fitness program. If not, you need to search for a health, diet, and fitness program that provides these.

 

In addition to my health, diet, and fitness program, I play golf for my sporting activity that can show you the effect of your health, diet, and fitness program. I have played golf since I was 12 years old when my grandfather introduced me to the game. The reason I stuck with golf is due to its longevity and the tremendous mental health benefits it provides.
