Prior to starting my business, I had to have a hip replacement, due to an injury I had that made it impossible to maintain my weight. As a result, I gained weight and made it difficult to promote my golf, fitness, and apparel business. Along with my weight gain, I also lost control of my blood pressure levels where they reached as high as 150/97.

Before you start a weight loss program, you’ll have to find an incentive to lose the weight and to get into shape. Without an incentive like a mental image, you won’t achieve your health and fitness goals. I found my incentive after I made my Home Depot Orange Bucket Challenge YouTube Video, below.

This video was made six months after my hip replacement. I developed my own diet program that allowed me to lose 52-Lbs (over 8.5 inches in my waistline); see my photograph and YouTube Video below, after I lost 52-Lbs within 9-months.

I remade The Home Depot Orange Bucket Challenge two weeks ago to mark my five years since I started my 925-MET Diet Program below to compare the two YouTube Videos. Also watch the end of this video for a friend to walk through, also on cue.

The results of The 925-MET Diet Program and my CASPER Fitness Routine performed in my Home Gym I completed last year. This was actually a great investment that I made in view of the COVID-19 Pandemic. This was taken in June of 2020. This also shows my current average Blood Pressure readings that I take nightly.

How I Developed the DELPHI Diet Program

Circadian Rhythms affect more than just your sleep patterns, Circadian Rhythms also affect your metabolism, or how you process food into energy. Research shows your body starts processing food at 9 am, reaches its peak at 2 pm, and then slows dramatically down at 5 pm. Thus, the name of my diet program, The DELPHI Diet Program.

As a result, I lost 15 pounds within four weeks, starting in November of 2014, just after Thanksgiving. I realize the Holidays aren’t the best time to start a diet, but if you want a diet that will work, you want to test it with extreme conditions. I got my extreme test.

The 15 pounds wasn’t what I wanted from my diet. I needed to turbocharge my diet program. So I looked at the Nutrition Label to see what information I could use to determine what foods I could eat between 9 am and 5 pm and lose weight. Boy, did I turbocharge my DELPHI Diet Program. I managed to lose 34 pounds within 4 weeks and after nine months, I lost 52 pounds. My goal was only to lose 45 pounds.

With my engineering background, I was able to use Analytics and statistical analysis and develop what I refer to as the Weight Factor (WF). The Weight Factor detects what I call the hidden sugars, or starches, in food. The target WF is to keep all your food items below 3.25. Below, I compare an Idaho Potato with a Sweet Potato:

What is interesting is that even though the Sweet Potato has higher sugar level of 7 (Fructose), the Idaho Potato had the higher WF number of 3.438. This is from the hidden sugars, starches, that negatively affects people’s diet and causes weight gain and heart disease.

The Weight Factor Formula

This is a simple formula you can do on your I-phone for foods you buy at the grocery store or off the menu at your favorite restaurant. Most restaurants have Nutrition information posted on their website for their menu items. Below is the simple Weight Factor Formula:

The simple Weight Factor for GLORY Seasoned Southern-Style Pinto Beans with Onions

Take GLORY Seasoned Pinto Beans w/Onions, which is my favorite food, along with Sweet Potatoes.

For convenience, put together a Weight Factor Table, below, of all your favorite food items and see where they fall. For 19 of my meals during the week, I keep my food items under 3.25. Then for 2 meals, I can have one incentive food item under 5.75. I never eat any food item above 7.00.

Incentive meals items are what keep yourself adhering to the 925-MET Diet Program. I even eat 2- slices of pizza once a week after I work all day outside for one of my meals.

NOTE: Pay close attention to the serving size, because the data on the Nutrition Label is based on that portion. Like for example potato chips where the posted data is based on 15 chips ONLY, not the 30 to 40 that it is easy to eat. Believe me I have been there.

I would highly recommend that you create your own Weight Factor Table to help you select foods from the grocery store or restaurants. You get to a point you will know what foods you will be able to eat and lose weight.

What the Weight Factor is doing is finding food items that are high in fiber and protein, but low in sugar and starches. I have photo proof positive evidence that this works, shown above in my Home Gym photograph.

Also as a side benefit is that I’m able to model my own clothing line with other models which is a huge benefit for me, as noted in the featured image.

We were commissioned by a family of a WWII Veteran for his 95th birthday to custom make an exact replica of his A-2 Leather Flight Jacket that he wore while serving on the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress.
