Golfer’s Sport Utility Muscle
QATSPY Coach golf swing tips- two simple golf swing tips to properly engage the golfer’s Dual-Cam Sport Utility Muscle for more distance and control. Just like SUV’s have provided the ability for people to get out and enjoy more of the outdoors, the SUM (Sport Utility Muscle) is a series of simple golf swing tips that can provide a golfer with a reliable golf swing sequence to help them enjoy their golf game with more confidence, and more importantly, with consistency. Confidence and consistency are two of the best golf coach apps that the golfer can directly incorporate into their golf swing sequence to lower their score and handicap.
There aren’t too many golf swing coaching techniques the golfer can entertain during their golf swing that can provide confidence and consistency like the SUM can. The maximum number of golf swing coaching techniques the golfer can use is three, at best, and still make a confident golf swing. Remember Yogi Berra’s question about the batter in the Major leagues- How can you think and hit at the same time? The answer, as many golfers realize, is that you can’t think and hit at the same time. Mental Rule of Golf No. 9- The greater the conscious effort, the lower the subconscious response that governs the golfers’ ability to make a consistent golf swing.
The subconscious mind is where the golfer develops and stores their muscle memory to execute their golf swing sequence with confidence.
The golfer has to develop their golf swing sequence in the subconscious mind to have the ability to replicate their golf swing sequence on the golf course. The subconscious mind is where the golfer develops and stores their golf swing tips to develop their golf swing sequence. Another factor in developing and making a confident and consistent golf swing sequence is that the golfer must train under similar conditions that they will be faced with on the course.
If the training isn’t similar to conditions on the course, chances are that the golfer’s subconscious mind will take notice. This difference can cause the golfer’s anxiety and adrenaline levels to increase, especially on the first tee box. Adrenaline is like the elixir that Dr. Jekyll drank that caused Dr. Jekyll to turn into Mr. Hyde. The golfer can experience the same side effects on the golf course.
Sport Utility Muscle Technique
Instead of the golfer having to focus on a number of golf swing techniques that will increase the golfer’s anxiety and adrenaline levels, the golfer instead needs to focus on how one muscle, the SUPER-NATOR muscle, is synced and preset. The actual name of this muscle is the Supinator muscle. Super-Nator muscle is in a strategic location, right below the golfer’s dominant elbow, as shown in Figure No. 1 below. This is the golfer’s Sport Utility Muscle in the golf swing sequence that is used to Sync and Preset a picture perfect golf swing.
The Sport Utility Muscle golf swing sequence focuses on setting two points on the SUPER-NATOR muscle, the CAM Point (CP) and the CAM-OVER Ridge Point (CORP). In my book, The ESPY Golf Swing Coach, I refer to these points as the CAM and CAM-OVER golf swing sequence. The CAM- Syncs the golfer’s dominant elbow with their shoulders, and the CAM-OVER locks the dominant elbow with the shoulders. This was a golf swing technique perfectly demonstrated by David Duval to Charlie Rymer on Golf Channel, in the early part of 2017.
These two maneuvers are similar to how gears on a ten-speed bicycle function to provide both power in the takeaway swing and speed in the downswing.
Sport Utility Muscle Training
The training behind the CAM and CAM-OVER golf swing sequence properly sets the Super-Nator muscle, as shown in Figure No. 2 below. This golf swing sequence maneuver is naturally performed every day, and is called the supination and pronation maneuvers. This golf swing sequence maneuver adds a turbocharge element to the golfer’s game, and more importantly, to the golfer’s confidence. This golf swing sequence maneuver can actually allow the golfer to feel the Super-Nator muscle to sync and preset. One reason for this is the Radial Nerve runs right past the CORP, as noted in Figure No. 2.
The first of two golf swing sequence maneuvers, CAM (CP) is at the point where the Super-Nator muscle attaches to the Ulna bone, shown as illustrated in Figure No. 2 above. The second maneuver, CAM-OVER (CORP) is where the Super-Nator muscle attaches to the Radial bone. The golfer properly using these simple golf swing tips to Ergonomically Sync and Preset the Super-Nator muscle completes 80 percent of the ESPY Golf Swing sequence. The other 20 percent of the ESPY Golf Swing sequence is equally split between the Yaw element, of taking the golf club handle to the top of the swing, and then executing the downswing.
The tail of the Super-Nator muscle plays a very significant part in the golfer’s ability to make chip and pitch shots for maximum amount of control and lag in the downswing. This will eliminate the dreaded slice, hook, and shank shots that the golfer can experience from time-to-time. The tail end of the CORP creates the lag component in the ESPY Golf Swing sequence.
You will be amazed at how one muscle, the Super-Nator muscle, can have that much of an impact by using this golf swing coaching technique in executing consistent golf shots with confidence. There is no substitute for confidence in the golf swing sequence, as this is the best golf coach app the golfer can adopt. Using the CAM and CAM-OVER golf swing coaching techniques will allow the golfer to eliminate distractions.
The only thing the golfer has to focus on is to Sync (CAM), then Locking and Presetting (CAMMING-OVER) during their golf swing sequence to set the Super-Nator muscle. This places the golfer’s forearm and wrists into the preset and lock position, shown below. The CAM and CAM-OVER are simple golf swing tips to learn on your own.
A great training exercise for the golfer to develop the proper golf swing sequence is called the Overload Golf Baton training technique. I had the pleasure of interviewing a Vietnam P.O.W. who was held at the Hanoi Hilton for over seven-and-a-half years that used this golf swing technique in his prison cell. This similar Overload Golf Baton golf swing technique he used allowed him to shoot his handicap of four (4), six weeks after his release at a PGA Pro-Am in 1973. A Recommendation for your Golf Game:
I would like to recommend an interesting radio program that I regularly listen to on my I-Heart Radio app on KARN 102.9 FM station, out of Little Rock, AR. They air a golf show called Arkansas Fairways and Greens, at 7:00 AM CT each Saturday morning, hosted by Bob Steel, and co-hosted by Jay Fox and Charles Crowson. Bob occasionally has on his show as his guest Alex Myers with Golf Digest and Ron Sirak with Golf Channel. This show is worth tuning into for golf news and information.
Once you learn WHY, you don’t forget HOW!
Two decisions that you can make for yourself and your kids are to get a copy of my book and place the book and a golf club into their hands. You will never look back, but only forward. You will not miss with this for yourself and/or your kids.
