The Butterfly Nut Technique for Power and Clubhead Speed
If you want to make the most significant improvement in your golf game, you will need to understand the Butterfly Nut USP wrist action golf swing technique. The Butterfly Nut, shown below, represents a small bone in the wrist called the Hamate Bone. Each wing of the nut represents a nodule on the lower forearm, called the Ulna Styloid Process, or USP.
Some of the best golfers like Nick Faldo, Marco Dawson, David Duval, and Ken Duke preset their wrist action in the golf swing, right off the bat. These golfers were interviewed and demonstrated their preset golf swing technique on Golf Channel. Nick Faldo even has a Preset YouTube video of his preset golf swing technique. I would highly recommend any golfer to watch this video.
But during these videos that are aired on Golf Channel and YouTube, these golfers do not discuss the process for presetting the wrists, nor the advantages of tucking the trail elbow to their side. Tucking the trail elbow is critical during the initial part of the takeaway and again right before impact.
This was the same golf swing technique that Arnold Palmer gave to President Eisenhower prior to a Pro-Am that they were paired in for the American Heart Association charity. Arnold Palmer noticed that the President’s right elbow was separating from his right side on the practice range. Arnold Palmer instructed the President on the importance of tucking his right elbow to his right side.
A great golf swing technique to use to tuck the right elbow is the Butterfly USP preset golf swing technique. In Sports Medicine, this is called Kinetic Chain Technique. Kinetic Chain actually simplifies the golf swing sequence for the golfer, especially the beginner golfer. Kinetic Chain Technique moves the total golf swing down to the golfer’s wrists and wristbands, where the golfer can gain confidence and develop muscle memory. Presetting the wrist action in the golf swing completes 80 percent of the golf swing. This is a significant advantage for the golfer.
The Butterfly Preset Kinetic Chain Golf Swing Sequence
The golfer’s elbows can actually be represented by two nodules on the golfer’s lower forearms, or wristbands. In most golfers, this nodule is a protrusion, just above the pinky knuckle and wrists, shown below. This nodule is called the Ulna Styloid Process (USP). The right and left USP represents the golfer’s right and left elbows in the preset technique process.
The right and left USP are set using the Butterfly nut technique, the left Hamate bone. If the golfer sets the correct wrist action in the golf swing using these three key points, the golfer will produce some of the most powerful and beautiful golf shots with clubhead speed and, more importantly, control. What is power, distance, and clubhead speed if the golfer doesn’t have control Factor?
I’ve played golf with a number of college and minor league baseball players who could drive their golf ball 320 yards, but the only issue is determining where their ball was going. If the golfer could drive their golf ball 320 yards, but ends up 30 yards into the woods, there is little to no advantage. The golfer who can drive their tee shot 230 to 280 yards in the fairway has the advantage. Control is essential, and the Butterfly USP golf swing technique provides both distance and control, the perfect combination.

Operation DOG TAG
Sports, such as golf, along with fitness and an exercise regimen that includes yoga, has been proven to be a great Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for trauma victims. Veterans and those who have experienced a traumatic situation where the mind has been traumatized and disrupted can use golf and yoga to help re-establish connection and pathways in the brain. Golf also provides an excellent opportunity for trauma victims to reconnect in a social setting to develop a dialogue without the pressures of clinical visits.

ESPY Golf Swing Coach- Rhythm Without the Blues
ESPY Golf Swing Coach- ESPY Golf App Develops the golfer’s Rhythm w/o creating the golfer’s Blues. The ESPY Golf Swing helps the golfer establish the correct wrist action in golf swing demonstrated by David Duval in an interview with Charlie Rymer on Golf Channel.
Also, learning The ESPY Golf Swing Coach process is an excellent way to develop natural Rhythm without experiencing the Blues in your golf game to build confidence; learn how to take your baseball-style swing from the batter’s box to the tee box.

Time-lapse photography that I reviewed during my Kinesiology Xerox Box Golf Research Project compared the golf swing vs. baseball swing and how similar the Sync/Preset wrist action in the golf swing was to the baseball swing sequence.
Here’s the QUESTION: How many times standing in the batter’s box did you think about your golf swing mechanics, techniques, or elements. Your were only focused on the pitch. Why not use the same Outlier technique in golf.
Sir Nick Faldo demonstration of the Preset Golf Swing Technique
One of Sir Nick Faldo’s first golf swing fundamentals that he learned as demonstrated in this YouTube video entitled The Preset golf swing technique. Nick Faldo discussed the WHAT, but didn’t explained the HOW in his YouTube video.
The Sync/Preset Elements in The ESPY Golf Swing Coach explains how to setup the classic golf swing maneuver to place the wrists into the key Lock Position. This was the same golf swing technique used by David Duval during an interview with Charlie Rymer on Golf Channel. These two Videos are probably two of the best Videos to discuss the wrist action in the golf swing.

A Recommendation for your Golf Game:
I would like to recommend an interesting radio program that I regularly listen to originating from my home state Arkansas on my I-Heart Radio app on KARN 102.9 FM station, out of Little Rock. They air a golf show called Arkansas Fairways and Greens, at 7:00 AM CT each Saturday morning, hosted by Bob Steel, and co-hosted by Jay Fox and Charles Crowson. Bob occasionally as has his guess Alex Myers with Golf Digest and Ron Sirak with Golf Channel. I was interviewed on his show about my book, The ESPY Golf Swing Coach. This show is worth tuning into for golf news and information.
Jay Fox is an Administrator with Arkansas State Golf Association that discuss amateur golf and rules of the game.
Two decisions that you can make for yourself and your kids are to get a copy of my book and place the book and a golf club into their hands. You will never look back, but only forward. You will not miss with this for yourself and/or your kids.
